@Number 6 - Nice! The WPRB Fox AND the regular old red fox are also native to my backyard in Philly! Once I moved close to the Wissahickon, there are foxes constantly trotting around my yard, especially in the spring and fall!

@Andrew Ghee - True! It feels like a rallying cry by Dawson to get outside, even if it's just to not be locked in a doom-scroll, jogging aside! Easier said than done, but this time of year gets me going to way more outdoor events!

@Andrew Ghee - Dawson came to Johnny Brenda's a year or two ago, but I already had tickets for a different show that night (don't even remember which now) and was torn, but skipped Dawson. Regret missing him, he doesn't come often!

SUPER hype Guerilla Toss up next. Saw them at PhilaMOCA but back when they way more of a noise band

I saw him around that time at union pool on my 50th birthday! I don't go to a lot of solo shows, and he was so amazing

@Christine 𓅓 - Oh yes! I have done it before on air on occasion, but that was one of my live in-person DJing specialties when I used to do live in-person DJ club nights like my own recurring "Girl Gone Feral" or guesting for "Sugar Town" nights. These haven't happened in a loooong time!

@Christine 𓅓 - It was fun, but I most club nights I did before I had a kid! I did friends/family weddings, but declined offers for other people's weddings. It's really fun but so much set up and break down. Maybe I'll start it again when the kid's grown up. I did women in prog at Sara Sherr's long-running "Sugar Town" events, which are no longer. Most were at the old Tritone on 15th & South Street, but sometimes Balcony Bar or other venues. Sara focused those events on women/femme artists & DJs

PSB have a lot of great songs!

@Number 6 - True! And a lot of over-the-top costume changes! I saw them with New Order at The Mann a few summers ago and Neil T wore a very silvery suit and had a coupla quick changes!

He always insisted on Air & Space Museum (I love that place) and FBI museum (Not so much for me!)

@Number 6 - Well that explains it! My older brother loved spies and spy movies, which is why I've seen every Bond movie from Dr. No through to the early 90s when he went off to college

My fav TV series was Mission Impossible.

@John Coffey - My old walkman was indestructible and worked better than any discman I got after it. Tried to get my daughter a recently-made discman for some CDs she bought and man, those used to be fine 25 years ago, but they're terrible now, I guess because hardly anyone buys them!

Lizbot, technically it’s a Panasonic FM Cassette Walkman. Cassette crapped out due to old belts I guess. But FM works fine, just haven’t tested it with WPRB. Car radio gets WPRB past the airport.

@John Coffey - My cars over the last 30 years have always gotten WPRB clearly all over Philly and the 'burbs, but the home radios not always, especially in South Philly. There are weird little pockets of interference. Those walkmen radios were surprisingly good!

Ok, now I have DEVO envy to see one last time. Saw them on 4 tours in 80’s then years later with Hardcore Tour. I might just have to head over to the Met on Thursday for one last goodbye.

Undertones on my top 10 of bands I never saw. Was working “down the shore” and missed them at Emerald City in 1980.

@John Coffey - I'd act on those tickets soon, though. There are a coupla aisle seats in FF Orch R that are regular non-re-sale price. FF is the closest row of seats to the pit. Then it's all pit if you don't mind crowds! I got my seats!

@John Coffey - I'd LOVE to have seen The Undertones! There's a funny over the top video for one of Feargal Sharkey's later solo career songs, "You Little Thief," but it's a very different style. Woulda been worth the drive from the shore if you weren't working during the show!
