Totally different and completely the same. First hour dedicated to European disco of the 70s and 80s. Second hour is Brit Pop beyond Blur and Oasis. It is generally accepted that the Britpop of the 90s was an overcoming of the obvious crisis of ideas in pop music of the early 90s, an overcoming by rethinking the great legacy of the Beatles. However, it was not only England that was strangled by nostalgia for popular music with an intelligent human face, for melody and meaningfulness. The secnd hour will be devoted to the mid-90s, bypassing the well-known leaders Blur and Oasis, and we will start with the Swedish Cardigans, who independently resurrected the traditions of the 60s in the same 1994, which is considered the beginning of Britpop in England.

I had been getting ready to go birding, but I was late leaving the house and I hadn't decided where to go and I was not fully awake.

So when I heard you say Britpop in an hour, I was like hell yeah

the birds will miss you

but brittpop would miss you more!

Yes, thanks! Some 30 years ago a latina dj at the local college station said on air that she saw Echobelly live and when they played this song she almost or actually cried in recognition

I recently purchased the Japanese Breakfast Jubilee CD but I haven't listened to it yet. I will certainly listen to Kokomo IN after your show

what an evil thing to do. opening up during mic breaks and talking about yourself and your music into the void is scary enough. so much effort put into being mean. im glad that you were looking out for her

yes kokomo is beautiful, that entire album, in fact, is pretty darn good. she also just released a new album!
