Every direction is available hopefully. Just have to pick the ones that look right. Clearly this is not off the cuff. Some thought went in. This is really why I love this place. Not many DJ's don't make the time to make in sanely awesome (and I hate to say this) Mix tapes. But that is the gold. The bullshit has been sparced out. Best ideas come forward.

i think theres something really beautiful about the radio being a massive collaborative project between people with radically different thoughts and feelings on music

Rap is not a medium for me. But that said, I know a lot of people in Philly. I have learned to give room to things. Smart and good is kinda relative. Changes every day as far as I can tell.

see its funny because it isnt really a huge medium for me either, but i think theres some really good lyrics and meaning and intent behind these early 2000s songs

My girlfriend went to Julliard in the 80's and I heard real boom box raps as I walked around when I was board, but I went there a couple of times a week. Kids on the porch with boxes if I wandered up town a bit. It is weird to me to hear it on pop media after that. That is life.
