Every generation has a prophet. I think of the Greek tragedy of Cassandra, a woman cursed by Apollo to possess the power to prophesize events yet never to be believed. Cassandra walked the earth, ridiculed for her gift. We may believe that story of Cassandra has come to end, but there lives an individual who lives to carry on her tragic, prophetic tale: Punxsutawney Phil.
Phil has been cursed to roam the earth with prophetic visions of how the tempest will act. Despite his want to communicate these weather patterns to us, humanity disregards him and lashes out at him whenever he warns us of 6 more weeks of frost. This show is dedicated to this sacrifices he has made. Thank you Phil.

oh yeah, bird watching went well ... we saw one individual rare gull on the Grappling With Gulls trip. Also some Bald Eagles, and over a hundred swans. The trip and the group were both fun

Not while ... but the person who we carpooled with said "Bring CDs" so I did, so in the car we listened to boygenius, Chappell Roan, and Beyonce's Cowboy Carter. Plus a scandinavian folk album from the 1990s
