Used to hear that Fiery Furnaces song every day on WPRB about 20 years ago (2021 date must be a reissue date)

Ha, yep that was a 2005 release-- darn Spinitron!

Lyrics are based on some old old folk songs. The title lyrics ".... wish I was single again..." and that "... pockets would jingle..." line and others appear in folk songs way back
