For real. I love how it's got a beat pattern that sounds so unbelievable to those of us so used to only hearing typical american bass/trap music.

South African Music has come a long way in terms of creativity, the industry is really fresh and hyper competitive so there's always some crazy track spinning around. no such thing as a classic lol a song will trend one week and the next a new one is trending we all forgot about the old one

South African house is one of the oldest and most prominent genres, that's where the industry was for a long time until I wanna say 2014-2016 ish when Amapiano started blowing up

I love this song, Mina Nawe means me and you, not my native tongue but pretty sure the vocalist is saying she will give everything and anything to have me and you

I just peeked through a mix of amapiano music on YouTube and I can dig it. It reminds me of dancehall a slight bit, but it has a lot more going on too.

The real beauty is in the mixing potential, check out some DJ sets they're so crazy, or better yet if you get the chance find a club that's playing piano for the night!! At heart this is party music

I mostly know how to speak Setswana, cool thing about Bantu languages is there's a lot of the same sounds and words though, so you can generally pick up meanings

It's so impressive that so many local languages part of the sake group are still persisting to this day.

There's still many dying out, especially the click langauges. A lot of Bantu languages borrowed click sounds from them though, so I guess they will survive in that way
