Today's showhighlights some american primitivism, some sad girl folk, and other fun stuff. I had time in mind while putting it together, something about the right moment having passed, or about struggling so hard to make this the right moment that you kinda miss the point, but then I thought what about the moments we try to forget? Times of our lives we don't identify with anymore, and sweep under the rug. Between 10-12, we're thinking about them with the same endearment, and worry that we won't get them back. The song by Hayden Pedigo was on that vibe, so if you take anything with you from today's show, take that.

Great vibe today! I'm looking forward to seeing Yo La Tengo collaborating with the Sun Ra Arkestra at the Big Ears festival next April. I have no idea what it will sound like, but I'm expecting awesome.

Since Marshall Allen turned 100, he isn't doing the extended tours with the Arkestra any more, but hopefully he'll be at the Jersey show! I think he's limiting his appearances to driving distance from Philly.
