Set Break: Older adults may be more susceptible to influence for impulsive financial decisions

A lab at University of Birmingham gave people a choice: immediate payout for less or future payout for more

Older vs younger cohorts were not more or less impulsive, but the older cohort was more influenced by hearing about the impulsiveness of other people in the study

The more empathetic the older people were, the more they were influenced by others

DJ AskTheQuestion 9:01:04 AM
Thank you Dale!! Let's take a look
Dale Hazelton 9:21:04 AM
thanks for touching on that. i read that this burst could help scientists arrive at a 'weight' for the universe and figure out where half of it's mass is hiding out. concepts beyond my understanding.
DJ AskTheQuestion 9:21:48 AM
Oh fantastic! I can touch on that next
DJ AskTheQuestion 9:22:07 AM
One mysterious radio burst, so many ways to learn from it
Li Maria 9:47:55 AM
Hi DJ AskTheQuestion! Totally agree about the arborvitae. The previous owners of our house had planted them all along one side of our house, so that they grew up against the side of the house and completely blocked the windows. That whole side was so dark--couldn't wait to take those down and get some light in the LR!
DJ AskTheQuestion 9:48:16 AM
Yess! Let in the light!!
E.K. 9:56:27 AM
Thanks for the morning science & Tunes, keeping Tuesday morning fresh and funky!
