Sorry for the ghostiness, chores. Still liking. Here's a question. What are the advantages and drawbacks of Spinitron? Not every station uses it.

Also noticing that WPRB plays are not popping up in their feed.

no worries! and i can't speak much for drawbacks as ive never used other playlist services but the advantages are for sure the ability to no only catalog all the shows, dates, and djs but its fantastic for finding new music. a lot of artists also reach out to djs through spinitron so its essentially a radio station social media

there is a decent amount of songs i've played that i had to add myself as i play a lot local and indie bands that don't have a following

thats good! most songs i play are in there though since spinitron has a large user base

My curiosity is aroused because as a listener to this and many streams my music streaming service is getting overwhelmed and I'm at a loss for how to catalogue and search my own music. Wondering about database management.

as a listener i'd say spinitron isn't great for cataloguing your music taste. honestly a trusty old spread sheet is probably the way to go since you can organize everything to your liking

if you have the digital files of all your music MIXXX is a great dj software that has fantastic music cataloguing. its a free software too

IMHO music streaming is salvation! During lockdown I spent a lot of time finding streams all over the world. I feel a lot of my life I've been a prisoner of broadcasting ranges. A new and better life has begun.

absolutely! we live in a great time for media of all forms. so much potential for exposure to things you otherwise wouldnt find

ya they fall into that category. that song was more so a "chillwave" song but neko shi corp. is a prolific vaporwave artist
