Not too much, just starting off with a little Steve Albini tribute, then heading into new releases

and reminding people about my last few shows :(

NPR and Desert Doom don't mix too well...I've told of the displeasure others have had of te sound coming out of my office.

But I hope it goes well at WESU and more importantly at the university.

lol Mike yeah I have no idea what the station is like yet but fingers crossed, my dept though are all really lovely and I'm looking forward to joining them

Today’s installment has been worthy of cassette and cd!

save for a chunk of time in the early days, I've got them all recorded and almost all are online btw, I can't mention the website but it rhymes with fixloud

a boombox with two tape decks.....yes I'm that old

This show got me through the Covid lockdown (the resumption of WPRB broadcasting with the listener chat gave me the sense of community -particularly this chat- and relief from isolation)

I've been lazy about uploading this semester but I'll have them all up before I head off for the summer

This is a community that I feel deeply connected with (something that for me, is kind of difficult and seems schmaltzy, but true).

The first Black Sabbath record I bought (as a teen) was We Sold our Soul for Rcok and Roll. Each time I listened to it, I was literally exhausted. My stamina is much greater now, and my appetite for these sounds even stronger.
