The venue, Tonal Park, is some sort of studio I think? I'd never heard of it before the Takoma Park community station announced it

We're actually going to see them! There are a limited number of tickets and we were actually able to buy two

lucky - ill have to check it out

We're not into the band but we know and love a couple of their records (Big 10-8 Place is one). We were surprised that tix were still available

And I hope you can see them in Philly!

I would think that an anthology titled “Psychedelic States: New Jersey In The 60's” would feature the Inmates (from Oceanport), but no. It does include Springsteen’s band, The Mods, though.

@ Tim (host) Glad to hear about the return of the Philadelphia Folk Festival. It was originally conceived -- and functioned very well -- as an annual fundraiser for the Philadelphia Folk Song Society. Alas, increasing costs for event insurance, utilities, stages & big tents rentals, etc. ran up until the Philly Folk Fest, although still hugely popular, was a $$$ loser. Hope they've worked some things out, it's always an awesome and well-run show.

I saw the Parasites supposedly reunite sometime in the 2000s at Buddies in Sayreville. (It was really just their singer plus the Ergs!) The Parasites’ Ron Nole now fronts the Accelerators, who are playing on the 19th at Tierney’s Tavern in Montclair.
