And, I'm having trouble finding it on discogs...but the title of the song is called "Sika Deer Dance"....and oddly when I heard and saw the Robert Turman for some reason it made me think of Trumans Water! Even though Robert Turman doesn't sound anything like Trumans Water....Sure wish that I had the original Meet the Residents LP with the banned cover, my copy is a late 70s reissue...

Looking at the discogs page for Meet the Residents, 1977 is when they reissued it with the changed cover, then they went back to the original cover in 1988 for all subsequent reissues. I wish that I had the reissue with all the extra material that came out a few years ago, I guess the "deluxe edition"...

Yes, I have many Residents albums, some ESD Records reissues on CD from the late 80s, and about 5 in LP format from the late 70s. The Residents were one of my early favorites to torture high school friends in the 70s who did not venture away from commercial music. Saw them twice the 1st time in 1983 performing the Mole Trilogy in Washington, DC w/ Snakefinger. Of course just don't have the $$ for all the music I'd love to buy...buy or die...

Seeing the Residents in 1983 was so amazing after idolizing everything on Ralph Records, plus I was already doing radio shows for 2 years by that point and so many of us DJs all went to that show. @Matt Sabbath, it wasn't just the Residents that I got to expose my "normal" music friends with, being in Maryland the underground station then was already playing 1/2Japanese off of cassettes and I taped some of it, of course Yoko Ono was also around back, then to disturb the normal music fans....
