Heya! Loving this old original recording, crust and all. I recall seeing a short video with a clip from an even older recording. Everything was so blown out, drums overpowering, that it sounded more akin to black metal than jazz.

Aha! I found the aforementioned recording. It was "Cherokee" performed by Clifford Brown and Max Roach at The Bee Hive, Chicago Il, November 1955. If you may consider that for future airplay ;)
