Oh for sure. I think his weakest is probably Dead Don't die, but it's still fun.

Yeah, so many zombie movies in that moment I thought he was going to come up with something clever, but he could've AI'd that script. LIMITS OF CONTROL was a fave when I rewatched stuff...

I saw Limits of Control two or three times in theaters cause I just loved the vibe of it, but I think I remember it getting panned at the time?

If you like Jarmusch, you will like Aki Kaurismaki. Very deadpan

Adore Aki Kaurismaki. An even bigger fan than Jarmusch. In the '90s, all Aki Kaurismaki's films played in theaters in San Fran....

Aki Kaurismaki actually featured Dead Don't Die in his latest film, Fallen Leaves, haha

I don't think I've seen that Maddin one... May have to jump on the El for that.

And of course Jarmusch used Aki's roster of actors in NIGHT ON EARTH....

Just showed the Maddin DRACULA to a class and it really went over (Park Chan Wook's THIRST tonight). DRACULA will show with a rare Germna New Wave film from 1970, JONATHAN, shot by the great Robbie Mueller (who shot DEAD MAN by the way). Free Show!

Take your radio if you're outside staring a the sun....

If you can get a clear phone pic, open the image after. Then look in the image for the reflection of your phone's lens & zoom (on my photos it came up as a smaller blue dot lower in the image). In the blue dot reflection, it's easier to see the actual effect of the moon obscuring the sun. Just find a way to point the phone towards the sun without looking in the viewer and get your finger ready near the shutter button (see if your phone has option to add 2nd "floating" moveable shutter button)
