I think this is the second time I've ever listened to Ween. One of their more glam rock songs was in the rotation at Satellite. I like this more.

I like Ween. I found a mix on YouTube that was called "Easy Listening Ween" that I really liked. Unfortunately lawn seats at the Mann all sold out

I could never get into Ween. They always seemed to me to be one of those bands in supposed to like because I like DEVO. Like Sparks. I like David Kendrick from hanging out with him at DEVOtional but I could never get into them, either.

This rules

Ween and Sparks are both great. That being said, I understand that there is a commonly accepted list of bands you must like if you like DEVO

But Ween play in a lot of different styles. So do Sparks, actually. But you do have to get past Russell's voice.

I had a guy at work who was always surprised I didn't absolutely LOVE Elvis Costello even after I told him I'm one of the metalheads into Devo. Gah

I Love flying. When my neighbor had just got his license, we went night flying over Philly. Later a friend told me "are you nuts?" ...probably...

@Dana, haha, I hate that sea sickness when it is just a short ride. It takes me a couple of days out to get right for sure every time after being home for a couple of months. I used to do contrats on and off up in Alaska.

I had awful seasickness on a massive cruise ship too. I'm not made for the sea.

I did trawler fishing in the Bering Sea. Barf at the scuppers and keep on working. That is why it pays well. lol

Kelly and I took a cruise to Bermuda for our honeymoon. The first night we ride around a hurricane. I was convinced we were going to die because in all my years watching Love Boat the Pacific Princess never lurched like that. She still makes fun of me for it almost 20 years later.

Sea sicknesses, not so good times

dana, i lllooovvveeee the sea, but i get sick most a lot on boats of all sizes.

i did grow up and live pretty landlocked. the closest large body of water near me is a creek

@Steve, I love skirting storms. We rode the most insane waves in the gulf of Alaska. You go up a swell at full power and ride down like a roller coaster. Scary AF, and yet oh so cool!

Funny, how when I was listening to that early Scritti Politti single you just played I heard a little bit of Robert Wyatt in the voice....

that very well may have been my first usa song. I honestly thought is was BC, but then i refreshed.

The USA is media central. Local radio and TV everywhere.
