Srinivas Saranambhava Karuna in Hamsavinodhini Narayana Theertha Rama Sreerama Real World Records 1995 Uppalapu Srinivas (28 February 1969 – 19 September 2014) was a mandolin player in Carnatic classical music and composer. Because he was a child prodigy, he was sometimes called the Mozart of classical Indian music. Rudraraju Subbaraju (disciple of Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar) taught U. Srinivas by singing, and U. Srinivas developed his phenomenal style of playing entirely his own, since mandolin had never been played in the rigorous and difficult Carnatic style before.
