"Amongst today’s Mongolian music groups, Altai Khangai stands out in that it remains very attached to a specific region of Western Mongolia: the Altai and Khangai Mountains, where throat singing was established long before it expanded to other regions of the republic. Formed in 1995, the band notably comprises Ganzorig Nergui (morin khuur fiddle, tovshuur lute, aman khuur bamb), Ganbold Muukhai (morin khuur fiddle, tovshuur lute), and the lady musician Garavkhuu Badmaabazar (yoochin and yatga zithers, hets drum, small bones)."

"Dawanggang is a musical ensemble created by Song Yuzhe, an eclectic musician from the North East of China. While the name Dawanggang has no other meaning than what you see above, the content of the music reaches far and broad, from nomadic themes of Western China to broad experimental lines, touching on folk tales and giving a big sense of space. Meaning "sunbeams," Huun-Huur-Tu was founded by Kaigal-ool Khovalyg, brothers Alexander and Sayan Bapa, and Albert Kuvezin. They focus on traditional Tuvan folk songs, especially images of the Tuvan steppe and horses.
