She has degrees in theater, psychology, and ethnomusicology. https://www.ganavya.com/home "Ganavya creates a lush twine out of American and South Asian traditions" - New York Times. Ganavya is holding a "Yazh", an arched harp instrument used in Tamil music. The instrument has gut strings that run from a curved ebony neck to a boat or trough-shaped resonator. The opening is covered with skin for a soundboard.

He developed an interest in jazz at an early age and clandestinely listened to it during his education at a Qur'anic school. But he calls the radio "the most important school" for him.

7:26 AM		Steve Tibbetts Chandoha A Man About a Horse ECM Records 2002 Steve Tibbetts (born 1954) is from Madison, Wisconsin. His music has been described as rock, jazz, ambient, experimental, and world music. Tibbetts refers to it as "postmodern neo-primitivism". He stated, "I go back and forth between the sampler and tape machine so much—looping, cutting, offsetting, and layering—that eventually I don't know where the sounds come from."

The Sirens are human-like beings with alluring voices, first appearing in Homer's Odyssey.

Orpheus was a legendary poet and musician, with the ability to charm all living things with his music. He allegedly also descended into the underworld to recover his dead wife Eurydice.

She was rejected by Hermaphroditus (son of Hermes and Aphrodite), so appealed to the gods to let them be together. The gods answered by fusing them into a deity with both make and female parts.

Odysseus (and the Latin variant Ulysses) is a legendary Greek king of Ithaca, and the hero in Homer's epic poem "The Odyssey".

The effort failed, but there is a 2013 documentary "Jodorowsky's Dune" about the whole expensive mess.

The aesthetics of Aksak Maboul include deconstructing and fusing many different genres, from rock, jazz, and electronics to fake African, Balkan & minimal music. They were around 1977-1980, then reformed as “The Honeymoon Killers” in 2014. Aksak Maboul suddenly became active again after 2020.
