Rob F 6:16:40 PM
But we both like jazz
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:17:05 PM
But I didn't know of your proclivity to listen to prog rock and metal! I like this family!
David Shortell 6:17:34 PM
Was that last track from the Zack Snyder movie or the HBO miniseries?
Rob F 6:17:58 PM
She is playing in a band now in San Diego. They play Funk, blues and rock
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:18:05 PM

Dá Bəng Gôu 6:31:07 PM
My memory serves me well.
George Poulos 6:31:28 PM
Ian Hunter reminds me of Dylan.. now listening to Live "66! While also listening to your show! Bruce is Great!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:31:53 PM
DBG, you are your own poet.
David Shortell 6:31:58 PM
The song appears to be from the accursed Zack Snyder's horrible 2009 film, adapted from the great 1987 book by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Moore didn’t allow his name to be credited in that movie (or in most movies based on his work).
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:33:06 PM
David, you are on top of pop culture, regardless of the century!
David Shortell 6:33:43 PM
Many people only know this song as the "Absolutely Fabulous" theme!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:34:22 PM
That is hard for us/me to compute.
George Poulos 6:35:52 PM
Basement Tapes! My fav!
Rob F 6:45:24 PM
Always thought this was an interesting song

Ossy 6:53:45 PM
Rainy evening Serenadeflop
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:53:55 PM
Haha Ossy!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:54:16 PM
I love the sound of SerenadeFlop
Ossy 6:54:34 PM
Ooo, Shirley Ceasar. I saw her in a guest appearance in a 2000s sitcom named The Parkers, as a guardian angel!
Ossy 6:54:51 PM
LOOOOOOL
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:55:12 PM
No way!
David Shortell 6:55:13 PM
Sheryl Lee Ralph sings the reggae version of “The Mighty Quinn” in the 1989 movie of the same name.
Ossy 6:55:48 PM
One time DJ Navi was subbing in this slot and I called it Mindless Flop that git Cailyn laughing LOL
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:56:36 PM
I heard a reggae version of that song but not the one you have suggested. I am intrigued by the link you sent me and will examine after the show
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:57:00 PM
Ossy, you could be a TV, I mean Radio writer!
Ossy 6:57:48 PM
David - Funny I mention The Parkers sitcom, which is a spinoff sequel of 90s sitcom called Moesha, who Sheryl main cast starred in, as Brandy's stepmother. Yeah, Mighty Quinn is badass, with some of Bob Marley's family there and Denzel Washington!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:58:20 PM
wow!
Ossy 6:58:24 PM
Good Times's Esther Rolle was also there. First saw Mighty Quinn on Pluto Tv last year on Black History Month
Ossy 6:58:51 PM
Jerry - I guess maybe I could, lmao!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 6:59:03 PM
Esther Rolle, a great one. A gospel singer too!
Russell Woessner 6:59:13 PM
Listening at Wegman’s
Dá Bəng Gôu 6:59:14 PM
Great set of musics. Thanks from the bottoms of me crunchy bowl. Thanks you for your services.
Ossy 7:00:56 PM
Jerry - Wow, never knew that, being a gospel singer! She and John Amos got great chemistry
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:06:09 PM
Ossy, she was on Savoy Records, the same label as the other great gospel singers.
Ossy 7:11:10 PM
Great to know and check out. I had the same shock also 90s comediennes, Tichina Arnold and Tisha Martin were actually singers and had a few songs
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:12:45 PM
Creative people can't stop themselves
David Shortell 7:27:07 PM
I must tune out now. I leave you with this rendition of “Blowin’ in the Wind”: https://youtube.com/watch?v=giu4LhWd72I
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:27:41 PM
Thank you, David! Can''t wait to see who it is. Stevie Wonder maybe?
dan Cochrane 7:29:53 PM
First time listener, what a super fine set so far. Good evening everyone! I’m near StL via Chicagoland, upstate NY.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:30:52 PM
Hi Dan, thank you so much! Obviously you are a man of distinction!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:31:24 PM
Do you regularly listen to WPRB?
dan Cochrane 7:31:25 PM
My bad, I do know this DJ, always a treat.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:32:10 PM
Nice!
dan Cochrane 7:32:15 PM
I thought I smelled something thistinktion
dan Cochrane 7:33:55 PM
I had a first Johnny winter album, and it was nothing like the fire that came quickly after. Almost easy listening. Not quite.
dan Cochrane 7:34:51 PM
Yes, I love ‘prb
dan Cochrane 7:36:18 PM
Did you see the rolling thunder doc.? Way to young Sharon Stone being kidnaped with Mom’s blessing. Yikes
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:36:46 PM
Ha! Like that. As far as John Winter goes, you might have that very first album that preceded his first Columbia album. At one point, Johnny Winter was the highest paid artist on Columbia Records!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:38:02 PM
No I didn't, Dan, but I would definitely like to be in the company of Sharon Stone now
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:38:29 PM
I will have to see that!
dan Cochrane 7:39:55 PM
Yep, she’s pretty cool for sure.
dan Cochrane 7:41:03 PM
Dylan didn’t speak to the great Mick Ronson at all on the tour. He’s a monster player.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:41:49 PM
What was that all about?
dan Cochrane 7:42:10 PM
Has Jacob covered the old man?
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:42:45 PM
Dan, I really don't know, I hope so!
dan Cochrane 7:43:14 PM
My impression is Dylan is to back up players, like Kubrick was to actors. Just do your job.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:43:57 PM
Interesting. Two geniuses, they can do that.
Commie Francis ☭ 7:43:59 PM
Hi Jerry!!!!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:44:31 PM
Hi Commie, so glad to be leading into your show. Thank you for saying hello!!!
Commie Francis ☭ 7:44:48 PM
I don't think there's enough time left for my favorite Dylan cover, Fairport convention doing Percy's song
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:45:30 PM
A great one. That and I'll Keep It with Mine. I will play it for you one of these days!
dan Cochrane 7:45:44 PM
Big (and stylish!) shoes to fill, no doubt in my mind Commie can do.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:46:15 PM
Commie is brilliant!
dan Cochrane 7:46:33 PM
I haven’t heard that one! What album?
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:47:51 PM
Don't remember, Dan, but their Dylan covers are unforgettable.
dan Cochrane 7:49:17 PM
I heard a weird, on-this-day-in-rotten-history today. Author Sherwood “Winesberg Ohio” died after swallowing a toothpick.
dan Cochrane 7:49:35 PM
Anderson
dan Cochrane 7:50:42 PM
I wonder what the most covered Dylan tune is?
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:51:03 PM
Excellent question
Rob F 7:51:30 PM
Great theme and music!
Commie Francis ☭ 7:52:01 PM
My guess would be blowin in the wind but that's not based on research or anything
Commie Francis ☭ 7:53:08 PM
Joan baez's cover of don't think twice it's all right is beautiful too
dan Cochrane 7:53:42 PM
I bet Dylan never covered, “Puff The Magic Dragon”, as much as I’d love to hear him do it.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:53:46 PM
Commie, was that you I had a discussion with re: Dylan vs Leonard Cohen?
Commie Francis ☭ 7:55:35 PM
I don't think so Jerry!
Commie Francis ☭ 7:55:57 PM
Dan if you want to hear something amazing, Google peter yarrow puff the magic dragon psa
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 7:56:25 PM
Commie, have a great show!
dan Cochrane 7:56:44 PM
I will CF
Commie Francis ☭ 7:56:50 PM

Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 8:01:09 PM

Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 8:01:22 PM
