Brian D 2:15:27 PM
Where's George? Can barely hear the gtr
Terry Kelso 2:23:52 PM
this boy is a killer b side.
Brian D 2:29:14 PM
Those new Red and Blue remasters are beautiful. Some parts really jump out now. And some extra songs on them too now
Brian D 2:30:40 PM
But not replacements necessarily.. still like the "regular" good ol ones too. Just nice to hear a diff perspective w updated tech
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:31:15 PM
The fidelity is certainly better. We didn't care at the time.
Terry Kelso 2:31:27 PM
those new mixes bring the it to 11 and one clock instead of the 9 and 3 oclock that were the original george mixes
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:34:01 PM
I like that, Bruce!
David Shortell 2:35:12 PM
Last February 9th, to celebrate the famous 60th anniversary, I finally watched my DVD set of all four Sullivan broadcasts the group appeared on. Most of its non-Beatles stuff is rubbish, but Frank Gorshin was brilliant!
Brian D 2:35:38 PM
Some cool boosts on a harmony vocal or a bass line or a bass drum. Good to hear those parts and your ears perk up hey! Interesting
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:36:28 PM
Def, Brian
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:36:49 PM
Haha, The Joker!
Terry Kelso 2:37:28 PM
the stereo picture is to close to the center for me
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:37:48 PM
You are old school, Bruce
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:39:02 PM
But definitely different from what we were used to!
Brian D 2:41:52 PM
The mono vinyl box was really cool too from about 8-10 yrs back. And the stereo one too . And the Stones mono box good stuff esp that extra 'Strays"v record.
David Shortell 2:42:35 PM
It seems like they stopped performing “There’s a Place” by 1964. A pity.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:43:20 PM
Thank you, Bruce!
Terry Kelso 2:43:23 PM
why cant abkco release all the unreleased stones trax from 63 to 66.
Terry Kelso 2:44:19 PM
johns harp reminds me of hey baby by bruce channel
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:45:42 PM
Bruce, Love Me Do was one of two different versions?
David Shortell 2:46:27 PM
I reiterate my last comment with respect to “I’ll Get You”.
Terry Kelso 2:46:51 PM
yes the original 45 has ringo on drums the lp version has andy white on drums and ringo on tambourine.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:47:07 PM
Thank you, Bruce
Terry Kelso 2:54:21 PM
what a fab show
Christine 2:54:24 PM
Wow; a couple of these deeper cuts I've never heard on the radio before. Like Anna.
Christine 2:56:19 PM
Indeed, a FAB show; I agree with Terry!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:56:29 PM
This was another r&b cover. Thanks, Christine!
David Shortell 2:57:49 PM
An entire “Married with Children” episode was written about that Arthur Alexander song.
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:58:13 PM
David, now that is cool!
Ossy 2:59:33 PM
Great broadcast Jerry!
Serenade to a Cuckoo w/Jerry Gordon (host) 2:59:51 PM
