I thought “12 Monkeys” (Terry Gilliam’s expanded remake of “La Jetée”) was terrific, but 29 years later I still can’t watch it without thinking of the loudmouthed dickheads who sat directly behind me in the theater.
Esoterica (host) 2:01:40 PM
ah not a good memory

i didn;t actually know it was a remake of La Jetée

stevie p 2:06:08 PM
A group of people near me, on their lunch break apparently, were eating smelly hot food out of squeaky styrofoam containers, slirping on straws, and talking among themselves.

i can't handle smelling and hearing other people eating like on airplanes
Esoterica (host) 2:06:48 PM

Brian McCormack 2:07:52 PM
Steve P was that the theater where you don't buy a ticket just popcorn?
stevie p 2:08:13 PM
... speaking of which, Kevin, the people eating at Apocalypse Now thought it was a comedy.
Kevin L 2:08:47 PM
oh god
stevie p 2:08:50 PM
Brian, it was one of the grand old movie theaters on South Broad or Chestnut Street.
Brian McCormack 2:10:42 PM
Haven't been to that one. This theater was kinda homemade. Just a big room with holdup chairs. I saw 12 Monkeys there.
Brian McCormack 2:10:59 PM
Foldup chairs
Esoterica (host) 2:11:56 PM
hey kevin. the elephant man is a great film. that would be super annoying.
Esoterica (host) 2:12:13 PM

Friends worked at the Lawrenceville, NJ Eric Theater back in the mid 80s. And other Eric locations here in PA mainly (Eric / Sameric was PA/NJ movie theater chain for years). They had some wild all night underage and adult drinking parties. We sneaked up on the roof at the Larryville location when the after hours parties were held there. Lots of free movies and eats at the local one by the OV mall in Pa
Kevin L 2:20:58 PM
Sounds like fun!
Brian D 2:21:40 PM
