Your domestic problems are completely solved!!! Wake me up when that happens
Lizbot (host) 5:04:21 PM
Hi Carlos Ramone!
Number 6 5:05:11 PM
Notice any new signage there?
Jon Solomon 5:05:26 PM
LizBot! There should be a VERY LARGE package for you in the studio today.
Lizbot (host) 5:05:59 PM
@Number 6 - noooo, new pins? No one here but me & Big Mouth Billy Bass
Lizbot (host) 5:06:07 PM
Hi Jon! - I have it!
Jon Solomon 5:06:53 PM
Excellent. Thank my work here is done. #6, I believe some double-sided velcro needs to be procured before your donation goes up but I've seen it and it is quite excellent...
Number 6 5:07:15 PM
Thanks Jon!
Number 6 5:07:48 PM
It will add to the nautical motif.
Lizbot (host) 5:08:10 PM
@Jon Solomon - All is well in package-land. I look forward to tearing this bag asunder after my show
Number 6 5:09:28 PM
The right side of the wooden equipment rack could use some more stickers though, so feel free.
Jon Solomon 5:09:46 PM
Terrific. Have a great show! We'll be listening.
Lizbot (host) 5:10:00 PM
@Number 6 / @Jon Solomon - Intriguing. Me and my matey (Big Mouth Billy Bass) agree, when sailing the high seas, we listen to WP Arrrrr B, Princeton
Lizbot (host) 5:10:14 PM
@Jon Solomon - Thanks!

The Diamond is a ship me lads for the Davis Straits she's bound. And the Quay it is all garnished with bonnie lassies round....
Lizbot (host) 5:12:31 PM
I called the show "Thaw" this week in some hopeful mood that I will continue to see snowdrops/crocuses and robins and no more snow! The snow was pretty but I'm done with it for the season!
Lizbot (host) 5:12:39 PM
Hi Brian D!
Lizbot (host) 5:13:16 PM
@Brian D - The Barge is no place for landlubbers
Number 6 5:14:13 PM
Did you get your WPArrrrB booty?
Lizbot (host) 5:14:45 PM
@Number 6 - It is at long last in my possession!
Lizbot (host) 5:15:52 PM
@Number 6 - Shirts were waiting for me today, magnet/stickers came in the mail last week
Lizbot (host) 5:16:21 PM
Actually, I believe I shall tear open this bag right now. Accelerate the process
Lizbot (host) 5:17:58 PM
Sweet. Did we ever come to a consensus as a community on who exactly is on this fall drive swag shirt?
Guelo<3 5:19:35 PM
The sticker is sooo goooooood.
Guelo<3 5:19:44 PM
…double plus good
Number 6 5:20:15 PM
@Lizbot- Headsmack, I coulda woulda shoulda asked Mike or Jon yesterday!:(
Lizbot (host) 5:20:50 PM
Hello Guelo!
Lizbot (host) 5:20:57 PM
@Guelo - Indeed!
Lizbot (host) 5:21:23 PM
@Number 6 - yeah, I wish I'd asked Jon when he was in the chat earlier in the show...maybe he'll reappear
Carlos Ramone. 5:22:42 PM
Last night Jon let it be known that it is a current DJ..He wouldn’t divulge..Commie Francis was ruled out
Lizbot (host) 5:23:37 PM
@Carlos Ramone. - Interesting...No one specific comes to mind, but now I gotta stare at it again...
Lizbot (host) 5:24:22 PM
@Carlos Ramone. - I will have to bring it to the next WPRB meeting and hold it up to DJs faces for a side-by-side analysis
Number 6 5:24:57 PM
It aint me, babe!
Lizbot (host) 5:25:29 PM
@Number 6 - yeaaah, it's not obvious to me and now I am wracking my brains
Lizbot (host) 5:26:41 PM
@Carlos Ramone. - And no one in the chat figured it out last night during his show?? I wasn't able to go into the chat last night
Lizbot (host) 5:27:50 PM
@Number 6 / @Carlos Ramone. - This is baffling me. It is probably someone I haven't seen in person in a long time
Rob from Maryland 🦅 5:28:21 PM
Hello Lizbot and everyone
Number 6 5:28:24 PM
We could have a contest, and the winner would get a paper towel cardboard tube from the Barge terlet or someting.
Lizbot (host) 5:28:40 PM
Hi Rob from Maryland 🦅!
Lizbot (host) 5:30:20 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦅 - My yard was utterly invaded by robins this week. Robins, some starlings and a jay. The robins were having a ground fest on all the bugs post-snow thaw, and everyone got in the huge puddle that formed in my yard from melted snow. Must've been 20 in there at once!
Carlos Ramone. 5:30:28 PM
@#6..if it was truly a Barge it would have a head instead of a terlet, said A Bunker
Lizbot (host) 5:31:04 PM
@Number 6 - Good idea! Whoever wins gets to be on the next swag
Number 6 5:34:15 PM
I read in the news last week that some unusual birds were sighted near Bartram Gardens.
Lizbot (host) 5:38:03 PM
@Number 6 - Yes! I'm on their email list. They had I think a painted bunting. All I know was it was a gorgeous rainbow bird and my cousin went looking for it
Rob from Maryland 🦅 5:43:53 PM
@Lizbot, that's nice about all those robins!! And the Painted Bunting is a return bird, it wintered there last year too, a gorgeous male.
Rob from Maryland 🦅 5:44:15 PM

@Lizbot, yep! There's a female (green) less than an hour from me near Annapolis. I should inquire as to accessibility for birders who aren't from that county. https://ebird.org/checklist/S160331147?view=photos

Hellooooooo, jimbooooooo!
Lizbot (host) 5:56:07 PM
@jimbooooooo - How does it go there in New England? Have you found your local Stop-N-Shop?
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 5:56:20 PM
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 5:56:32 PM
The new shirt is actually me eating a churro
jimbooooooo 5:56:58 PM
Yes, there is one near me! Quality international section.
Lizbot (host) 5:57:16 PM
Hi Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳! - AH, mystery solved! Don't make me hungry for churros!
jimbooooooo 5:57:22 PM
Chow churro, Chef!
Lizbot (host) 5:58:41 PM
@jimbooooooo - I don't believe I have ever actually entered a Stop-N-Shop, come to think of it. Any time I'm driving through Mass and get Roadrunner in my head when I spot one and that makes me happy, but I haven't had the occasion to stop...and shop.
TAndy 6:00:33 PM
Mmm churros
Lizbot (host) 6:01:21 PM
Hi TAndy! Glad you've joined us! The intoxicating smell of churros...which I'm SURE the Chef is making for all of us!...must've woken you!
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:02:02 PM
jimbooooooo 6:02:57 PM
Oh shizz...Juana playing near me in Northampton!
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:03:41 PM
Jk but I do the drive from here to Boston very often, anybody have any favorite food spots to stop at? The more hyperlocal/greasy/delicious the better
Lizbot (host) 6:03:46 PM
@jimbooooooo - I don't know whereabouts in the state you are, but one of your new home-state's museums, MassMOCA, hosts a "Loud Weekend" festival, curated by Bang On a Can, every summer, and one of these years I really want to go. I was in Mass the summer of '21, but the timing didn't line up
Lizbot (host) 6:04:26 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳- you mean...you've got blisters on your fingers?
Lizbot (host) 6:04:47 PM
@jimbooooooo - Nice! Yeah, i am very excited for her spring tour!
Lizbot (host) 6:05:00 PM
@jimbooooooo - tickets for the Ardmore, PA show go on sale tomorrow
jimbooooooo 6:06:33 PM
I'm about an hour from massmoca...love it!
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:09:13 PM
Anybody ever eat sour cream by itself? Hmm 🤔...👨‍🍳
Lizbot (host) 6:10:03 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 - I dunno, I did the Western Mass thing instead the last time I was in New England. Visited my friend in Hudson, NY, then stayed in Northampton, went to that Three Sisters Sanctuary mosaic/sculpture garden in Goshen, which was awesome, then up to Vermont to visit a family member in Charlotte, with stops in Burlington and Shelburne. Ate at some memorable restaurants on that roadtrip!
Lizbot (host) 6:11:54 PM
@jimbooooooo - Nice! We stopped at MassMOCA during that 2021 roadtrip. I wasnt ready to get back on planes at that point in the pandemic, but we had a lot of good roadtripping that summer and the next. I wish it was a tad closer to me!
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:13:52 PM
Very nice! Haven't explored that region as much. On my travels up to MA I like stopping at Frank Pepes Pizzeria (coal fired clam pizza mmm) or Rawleys Drive In (great cheap greasy perfect hot dogs mmm), both in Fairfield CT, or Teds Restaurant in Meriden CT for steamed cheeseburgers (a regional thing)
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:14:19 PM
Though i did just stop at White Manna in Hackensack last trip for some delicious historic sliders
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:14:55 PM
@ Lizbot (host) Lovin' the Japanese-Mex Mix in this set. What a tasty combo!
Lizbot (host) 6:15:53 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse - Steamed hams sounds good. I used to go up to Boston a lot. A good friend lived there for a long time and I'd visit her and growing up I went once a year because my mom's best friend lived in Holliston, MA, but I haven't been in a while
Lizbot (host) 6:16:04 PM
Hi Richard from Rocky Hill@
Lizbot (host) 6:17:24 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill! - Thanks! Yeah, it kinda unintentionally became very Japanese / Mexican / glitch-pop.
Number 6 6:18:04 PM
All this talk of food is making me hungry. Yesterday Mike was cooking something, and I was about ready to eat the mic!
Lizbot (host) 6:18:34 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 - I have not eaten sour cream by itself that I can recall, but I admit that I did just drool a little thinking about it...I had better get myself a mushroom burrito after tonight's show
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:19:25 PM
I just made a quesadilla and was lathering it on because I've gotta use up a big tub before it goes bad! BAM?!?!?!? 👨‍🍳🤔
Number 6 6:20:02 PM
Sour cream by itself is great!
Lizbot (host) 6:20:40 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 - You mean before it goes BAM!!! [into the trashcan]
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:21:01 PM
Lizbot (host) 6:21:38 PM
@Number 6 / Chef Emeril Lagasse - I've had sour cream ice cream by itself! THat was good!
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:23:01 PM
WHAT very interesting... I think it's a mental leap that I am currently conquering
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:24:46 PM
That reminds me of the lobster ice cream I had at Ben and Bill's in Falmouth MA. A buttery base, with real lobster chunks! Was worth trying but idk if I crave getting it again. The experience of frozen lobster thawing in my mouth, idk if that was a BAM but was funny and cool and pretty good
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 6:25:37 PM
Hey, chat!
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:26:30 PM
Hey Addie BAM!!!
Lizbot (host) 6:26:37 PM
Hi Addie! Howzit hanging? Vermont has come up already in the chat tonight
TAndy 6:26:45 PM
Me want more birria tacos but too much of a good thing spoils the bunch or whatever lol
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:27:13 PM
WAIT THAT WAS KATAMARI??? I was gonna say one of tracks reminded me of it so now it makes sense lol. Just started playing that game for the first time. On PS2!
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 6:27:58 PM
BAM! I’m housing a seitan Reuben at the moment, it is so clutch.
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 6:29:36 PM
@lizbot I’ll scroll back!
Lizbot (host) 6:29:47 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳- yeah, I could do without regular cooked lobster, let alone lobster ice cream! Some foods, even foods I like, have no business being in ice cream. I still think about hurting my hard of rock hard frozen gumballs in bubble gum ice cream as a kid
Lizbot (host) 6:30:45 PM
@TAndy - I will soon be in Puerto Rica where I'm gonna house some mofongo
Lizbot (host) 6:31:25 PM
@Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum - OMG, I WANT that so badly!
Lizbot (host) 6:32:03 PM
@Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum - Mainly just me mentioning Shelburne and Charlotte when reminiscing about my most recent New England roadtrip from 2021
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 6:33:20 PM
Ah yes, the trip of the Cookie Love Creemees!
Lizbot (host) 6:34:36 PM
@Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum - Yes!! NO lobster or gumball ice cream at Cookie Love! Only good stuff!
Andrew G 6:34:41 PM
you have summoned me from the Pond with this song
Andrew G 6:34:50 PM
good evening!
Lizbot (host) 6:35:01 PM
Hi Andrew G!
Lizbot (host) 6:36:08 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 - Yes! Katamari was so amazing in design, game play AND music! I have so many tracks from the game and is sequels. The original is the entire reason I broke down and bought a PS2 many years ago
Number 6 6:36:50 PM
This is a good playlist, I'll have to save it!
Lizbot (host) 6:37:23 PM
@Andrew G - I am glad! I want Cardiacs to send out a bat-signal to all those who care!
Lizbot (host) 6:37:28 PM
@Number 6 - Thanks!
Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum 6:41:56 PM
Oh I love katamari! So relaxing till the king yells at you.
Lizbot (host) 6:44:15 PM
@Addie 🐍 🐍 Plum - haha, yeah I feel like that king is reprimanding us like we're all spoilt Victorian children, but he's such a dandy, I love it! The only part that actual gives me anxiety is when he shoots lasers from his eyes when you fail a level, reducing the puny katamari to dust. That is the stuff of nightmares
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:48:55 PM
LOL that is such a good description. I feel the weirdness of the game was ahead of its time
Lizbot (host) 6:52:50 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 - I saw my brother-in-law playing it back in 2004, had to try it, and was hooked! SO innovative. I hadn't played a console game since the late 80s and THAT was the game that got me started again
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:53:34 PM
Very nice! I just got past 3 meters, I've got a long way to go I think
Lizbot (host) 6:53:43 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 - https://www.nytimes.com/2023/07/28/arts/katamari-damacy-keita-takahashi.html
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:54:02 PM
Damn this is heavy for 1965
Lizbot (host) 6:54:19 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 - There is a game by the same designer called "To a T" that I'd like to get my hands on
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:54:39 PM
Will check that and the article out!
Lizbot (host) 6:54:50 PM
@Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳- yeah, The Sonics are certainly a proto-punk garage band!
Lizbot (host) 6:57:32 PM
whoops, entered next song early...oh well, no surprise now
Andrew G 6:57:51 PM
thanks! I don't hear Cardiacs too often on wprb!
Chef Emeril Lagasse 🍳 6:58:20 PM
This one sounds like the weirdest parts of They Might Be Giants
Lizbot (host) 6:59:22 PM
@Andrew G - My pleasure! I love their frenetic energy and inventiveness! I I wish the doc about them was available streaming
Lizbot (host) 7:00:25 PM

@Brian D - Zulema is awesome, and that era of disco makes me miss session string players!
Lizbot (host) 7:11:43 PM
@Brian D - I do and he passes with flying colors, flying so fast he should probably slow that sled down lest someone get injured!
Brian D 7:12:48 PM
Great story/ interview that Nile Rogers tale of the stolen strings sample from Chic Good Times. He loved the song they came up with but... fair's fair. Nile spent like 20 grand of 70s money on a string session
Brian D 7:13:44 PM
Rappers' a Delight was the song in question
Lizbot (host) 7:14:52 PM
@Brian D - 20 grand well spent!
Brian D 7:16:20 PM
At least they did actually record the bass line for Rappers D (Doug Wimbish pre Living Color was the bass player on RD I believe)
Lizbot (host) 7:16:20 PM
@Brian D - Yeah, the early days of hip-hop was the Wild West sampling/intellectual property-wise. Hell, it was STILL legally murky as hell when I entered adulthood, and SO many classic hip-hops songs had unattributed samples.
Brian D 7:17:09 PM
Glad Nile got his $ and admitted he really liked the song too
Lizbot (host) 7:18:11 PM
@Brian D - It annoyed me to no end in high school that there were so many peers who thought Vanilla Ice came up with the music for Ice Ice Baby!
Brian D 7:19:04 PM
Mice mice bee bees
Lizbot (host) 7:20:15 PM
@Brian D - My kid and I took a deep dive into all the claims of who came up with what lines in Rapper's Delight, supposedly really a patchwork of what had been going around in clubs all year before Sylvia Robinson got the Sugarhill Gang on record

No apologies for this christmas-related song cuz I needed this dose of hyper bouncy pop and it's Saeko lamenting that it'S NOT Christmas, anyway! .....come to think of it, by THAT tooken, I could ALSO whip out Sparks' THank God It's Not Christmas!
Rob from Maryland 🦅 7:25:36 PM
This is Rick Wakeman?!?!
Lizbot (host) 7:25:45 PM
God bless Rick Wakeman for this weird keys/synth silliness

Rob from Maryland 🦅 7:26:35 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:26:50 PM
And Rick Wakeman is coming to the Scottish Rite in Collingswood in March! I will be in Puerto Rico then, but I hope in the name of all that is good and holy that he performs THAT song
Rob from Maryland 🦅 7:27:19 PM

DJ Readie 7:42:00 PM
Yes, @Rob- there are sooo many! I can't remember this much activity since I moved here in 2020!
Lizbot (host) 7:42:51 PM
@Brian D - I'm glad you appreciate that nail-bitingly suspenseful Sabbath ID George and I dreeamed up during the early days of the pandemic, mostly George
Lizbot (host) 7:43:07 PM
I love this is bordering on Tuvan throat singing for a moment there
Lizbot (host) 7:43:20 PM
Hello Ossy!
DJ Readie 7:43:41 PM
@Lizbot- lol- it's like "I wish I could throat sing, but this is kinda close"
Lizbot (host) 7:44:08 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦅 - Oh, I eagerly await the catbird and its wheezy squeaks. Anything for warmer weather!
Lizbot (host) 7:44:31 PM
@Ossy - You popped into the chat at the beginning of a long mic break, so I didn't see you here 'til now!
Lizbot (host) 7:45:45 PM
@Rob from Maryland 🦅 - I corrected myself immediately on mic! How could I forget the majesty of Wizzard and those insane costumes?!
Lizbot (host) 7:47:16 PM
@DJ Readie - yeah, I admit I've tried more than a few times after seeing Alash Ensemble at The Rotunda! I can kind of approximate a couple of the sounds, but George is way better at it!
Lizbot (host) 7:47:44 PM
@Ossy - WWW.PattyButterBiscuits.yum
DJ Readie 7:48:59 PM
@Lizbot- yes, I have approximated it on air a number of times- and I think one of our former DJs went off to Mongolia and studied throat singing.. or did I dream that??
Ossy 7:50:35 PM
A fun long mic break like the water song!
DJ Readie 7:51:25 PM
BTW - Tuvan singing will be represented at the Righteous Olympiad II tomorrow evening on Recherché!
Lizbot (host) 7:52:08 PM
@Ossy - I hope it flowed like water! There were a lot of long sets today that I didn't want to break up!
Ted 7:52:15 PM
Great show - thanx for Cardiacs!
Rebecca Erickson 7:52:15 PM

Also, Ethan Frome! What a downer!
Rob from Maryland 🦅 7:53:05 PM

DJ Readie 7:53:24 PM
Thanks, @Lizbot- I would love to have you and George vote for your favorite tune!
Lizbot (host) 7:53:42 PM

Hi Rebecca!
TAndy 7:54:30 PM
Already that time :( thank you so much for the show tonight Readie, it was worth waking up early ( by accident) for.
Lizbot (host) 7:56:02 PM
@Rebecca - haha, Edith Wharton: fulfilling the need for gothic love sled tragedies no one knew they needed! I love that its fully committed to gloom. I read it in the snow. I also found one of the audiobook versions of it has a narrator with the most Massachusetts accent ever!
Rebecca Erickson 7:56:05 PM
Hi Readie!
Number 6 7:56:36 PM
Thanks for a lot of good songs that I never heard before, BCNU!
Ted 7:57:51 PM
Ruud also says look out for a new sci-fi movie with Russell as narrator. "The Becomers"
Rob from Maryland 🦅 7:58:11 PM
@Readie & @Lizbot, a couple of Marchs ago I counted 75 American Robins in a flat streamside park in an area less than an acre in size. It had recently rained and these were probably migrant birds feeding on worms & bugs brought to the surface by the rain
Lizbot (host) 7:58:16 PM
@TAndy - It was a Lizbot show, but you're welcome!
Lizbot (host) 7:58:44 PM
