I've almost decided on Toolmaster of Brainerd as my theme song

I'll pre-promise a $10.33 pledge during the spring drive if you do that

problem with it is that if you give a dj a "toolmaster of brainerd" she's gonna wanna play tool after

the last time I had a Tool phase I was 15 years old and hoping to impress a boy initially. The boy was quickly forgotten as I had to focus ALL my energy on listening to Lateralus as many times as possible

Every Thorsday morning henceforth shall be known as Tool Time

Instead of a weekly animal we'll have a weekly power tool with maybe a hand tool every so often to keep people on their toes

my working knowledge of power tools is pretty limited. I think I can confidently use a couple different saws, a drill, a belt sander

All's ya gotta know is that higher voltage means more ugga dugga. Milwaukee and Bosch are KINGS. Makita is cool. DeWalt has NO PLACE in this house. ALWAYS using an impact driver for every task, including drywall. No substitutions.

I've got a drywall ceiling lift on reserve to pick up after my show. My roof leaked after the snowstorm and now we gotta cut that part out of the ceiling and replace the drywall. it dried out pretty quickly but it looks absolutely terrible

Welcome back! Gotta have one of those rubber padded, shock case enclosed tool brand name radios for the job site of course. And... be sure it does not work correctly. Especially the ability to tune in radio stations. Paint stains required.

First time I saw an non big name mp3 player was someone on a construction crew at a friend's house. 20-25 yrs ago. Nifty lil thing. Never was interested in the big name ones. Grabbed up some cheap lil "lipstick" sized ones later (1gb each whew! Phillips). Then I found a bunch of cheap Sansa Fuze + ones on eBay when people were getting rid of them heh. Still love those and break them out every now & then. Can load a bunch on them.

Also, I remember playing later iterations of Oregon Trail (including one that was in first person??) with better graphics and more advanced gameplay that were never nearly as fun

the amazon trail was definitely not as fun

I'm sure the 3d animated version was called Oregon Trail 2000 or something

So many more fun ways to die on the amazon trail, though!

Have yous heard Hearts and Bones, the critically panned predecessor to Graceland? It's a personal cult classic of mine, very fun and quirky and beautiful

Rhythm of the Saints, the one after Graceland, is also very good. Especially if you like percussion

Also the newer oregon trail for switch is very good. Anyway off to the kitchen BAM

And before that one, I watched the film One Trick Pony many times on the still new world of cable TV. Did not care or know about critics then either thank goodness. I liked the scenes of the guys in the band talking while on the road, killing time, doing music quizzes etc. Jonah Levin was Paul's alter ego then (maybe better than Jerry Landers). We got Late in the Evening out of that. Great for his live sets onward
