Yeah, it kinda sounds like the stereo track is squashed to mono with one of the channels too low. Or maybe the channels are out of phase.

Bingo. Last time 2-3 years ago Mike L maybe said it was a bad cable or connection? Only happens on certain record player or cd player etc... you'll hear it on one song. Then not others. And sometimes it is only recognized on very obvious, well known songs with hard left right stereo panninh

It happened on the Beatles song. It's hard to go track by track and know "is it happening now? " etc.. But when it happens it's really easy to spot

I just checked the stereo mix of Norwegian Wood. The vocals are panned hard to the right, sitar and other stuff on the left.

Happened a month or 2 ago on Methusalah Mouse show. Then again on someone else's show week or 2 later. It's definitely at the studio (not Barge) where it's occurring

That's it Bud. One channel is coming through both speakers. In this case it was the sitar one. Vocals sound like they are "in another room down the hall"sorta effect

I'm listening on headphones and everything sounds monophonic and slightly wonky.

M. Mouse show was Television "Marquee Moon ". Tom's high "phone ringing" guitar part was totally missing from the song heh

Brian, that checks out. I just checked Marquee Moon, and that guitar is also panned hard right.

The last time 2-3 years ago i kept commenting and emailing then one day... on Dylan Fox Weird Old America show he played Creedence maybe Susie Q and FINALLY other people noticed. A really long song with no vocal for like 4-5 mins then where the band changed the pan, the vocals "magically" reappeared heh.. someone asked jokingly if it was a karaoke version

Then a week or so later on Sonny Boy 3 blues show Richard S and I heard it again... soon after Mike L broke into someone's show & said hold on, we're going off air for a minute to fix this! Lasted a few years..

Seems to be everything. This VU song has a guitar part that's panned hard right, and it's missing here.

Perhaps first make sure the cable into your laptop is all the way in and secure?

For whatever it is worth I had a similar issue testing my "home studio" before Xmas and the issue was the laptop's audio settings.

I believe it is. It sounds ok on 19A here too

I would not worry about it right now and keep having a great show. I've let those who need to know know and it will get sorted!

I bet that's it Jon! Something in the way the headphone out jack or the usb c hi def out jack handles the output.

For me it has to be a song with really obvious stereo panning to know. Definitely heard on the Scott M. Not sure on the Daniel J... maybe
