Jon, I understand. My wife's c. 2018 car has a CD player. My car is from 2007 and my heart will be majorly broken if it goes away.

Richard, some of the Portland ice and snow photos were wild.

Yeah, we had to replace two cars in the past year (not recommended) and both old cars had CD players. One also had no functional engine so you win some and you lose some.

Crazy, for sure! Days without electricity. luckily we are in a town with city power away from Portland General Electric. Yes Carlos. A few miles southwest of PDX.

I think about a gigantic vegan BBQ burrito I had in Portland a few years ago more often than I reasonably should.

There's a supposedly great pizza place there I want to go back and try.

I went to a talk Marc Masters gave about his book about the history of the cassette tape and the first audience question was about the car tape adapter and how it worked!

$30 for a 12 inch pie in a place close to the Pacific ocean feels pretty wild to me but I'd give it a go.

My kid sent me a video of a blackberry pizza this week and I was intrigued.

Back Door is my favorite SJ spot of the ones I've been to.

jon it sure did! oh its pizza thief on vaughn. also wild child for thick slices with odd interesting choices. i honestly have a hard time picking a fave. even our closest ones, pinky's on n interstate, and saraveza tavern pies now on their menu - could eat pizza daily.

I just figured pizza crime was gonna make the jump to Philly. I think we'll hear from them soon.

Joe, I wondered by their wording if Pizza Crime will return just under a different name.

My favorite place in Philly is Angelo's and they started just up the street from Pizza Crime. Haddonfields good for giving good pizza away!

I like to get a red pie there plus a white pie with garlic, mushroom and spinach.

I have heard good things from others about Angelo's.

Also taking a break from za to say I heard this band on your show earlier in 2023 and realllllly dig it.

Jill, I did stop going to Papa's for basically that reason. They held a back porch press conference that was a dealbreaker for this guy. Plenty of other places for my mustard pie fix to be satisfied.

Not to turn this into a blind item but there are two well-known pizza places in Central NJ with very similar names and one of them went so over the top in the Facebook comments back in 2020 the other had to make a post saying "yeah, we're not going to ever talk politics online, you've got the wrong pizza spot."

That's a different Nino's, now located near the McDonalds on the circle and owned by different people I think. I loved their pizza as a kid from that old building.

I went to the Circle Nino's a few weeks ago and it was inexpensive but not very good quality. Coulda been worse. Pizza City still my favorite in that neck of the woods though

Beddia is no joke! Had a great time there recently for a friend's 50th. We did the table where they bring you a selection of pies over the course of the evening.

We had one to many people for the Hoagie Room. I don't think our host thought everyone he invited would RSVP yes!

Hello Jon, Matt, Tenderloin, TAndy, Carlos, et al.! Loving Part Two as much as I love(d) Part One! The single by Jane Weaver that provided an amuse bouche for an April full-length put me in mind of the strange case of the band Big Brave. In late December 2022, Big Brave came out with a single that seemed to promise a full-length. The single was really arresting and unique, and I thought surely they would be on everyone's Top Music of 2023 list. But nothing ever came of it?

MRR was just hard to read period. it was not really a magazine about layout. it was just tiny type, row after row. as i remember.

I did make some cool punk rock pen pals out of MRR and we would trade flyers. That's how I got a bunch of west coast classic flyers - Black Flag, Minutemen (Pettibone) - Circle Jerks, etc.

I was just noting that this is one of those records I love both tracks I've played but I still need to hear the album in full.

Really loved seeing them play outdoors in Philadelphia a few years prior.

At the Rail Park. Most people stood on different levels of the parking garage to watch them down below.

Jon, I just checked 4 short-term model maps on pivotalweather.com and they are giving 2.5 to 5.1 inches of snowfall through 7 pm Friday for Trenton, and roughly the same for Philly.

I vote for 2.5

Meh - that will make it harder for me to go to Fergie's Pub on Friday to see John Train...

These same short-term models give no more than ~1 1/4 inch for DC, which is less than other, medium-range models were predicting this morning for DC. Bummer for you, phew for us
