The Routes disc from last weeks program has been playing all week in our house. Fantastic stuff.

For donors who might not have seen the note on wprb.com: Premiums are shipping slowly but surely. We're a bit behind schedule because of various illness / injury / holiday delays but doing our best to wrap up by the end of next week.....
Travis in Color ado 5:12:50 PM
Nice! Is the cookbook or cookzine in there?
Jon Solomon (host) 5:12:57 PM
Also, sadly Pat from Clamour Club is not filling in as promised after me tonight. It is his story to tell but I was looking forward to seeing that dude!
Dan Wade 5:13:23 PM
Hello.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:13:35 PM

Surf guitar versions of Buzzcocks songs performed by Scotsmen living in rural Japan. What's not to love?
Rob from snowy Maryland 5:14:53 PM
Hi Jon and everyone! It's cold in the mid Atlantic today isn't it?!
richard lyons:) 5:14:54 PM
Homeboy Sandman! Also, hello!
Jon Solomon (host) 5:15:28 PM
Rob, the only thing good about the cold this morning combined with the overnight freezing rain is that the snow came off my car in one giant crunch.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:16:05 PM
Richard! Don't think I didn't see you joining us too!
Rob from snowy Maryland 5:16:07 PM
Jon, I just purchased that Attendant Ana record, but I haven't listened to it yet. Too many 2022 records I'm still listening too
Rob from snowy Maryland 5:16:42 PM
albums = cds that I currently can only listen to in my car
Jon Solomon (host) 5:16:44 PM
We had virtual school yesterday like it was May 2020 up in this piece, plus a delayed opening before and after.
Carlos Ramone. 5:17:05 PM
Ernest Borgnine reference..McHales navy next?
richard lyons:) 5:17:09 PM
👀
Jon Solomon (host) 5:17:12 PM
Rob, it breaks my heart that with the passing of my wife's car we no longer have a vehicle with a compact disc player in it.
Rob from snowy Maryland 5:17:29 PM
Jon, I love when you can do that with snow! We didn't have any freezing rain here, for better or for worse
Jon Solomon (host) 5:17:47 PM
Carlos! If you've never seen the documentary about Ernest Borgnine in his RV, it is worth a watch.
Carlos Ramone. 5:18:22 PM
Putting it on my watch list as I type
Jon Solomon (host) 5:18:23 PM
Glad I didn't have to go to school at 7:15 this AM. Delayed opening really helped keep things less d/icy.
richard lyons:) 5:18:30 PM
No school around Portland, OR for a few days, too.
Rob from snowy Maryland 5:18:38 PM
Jon, I understand. My wife's c. 2018 car has a CD player. My car is from 2007 and my heart will be majorly broken if it goes away.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:18:46 PM
Richard, some of the Portland ice and snow photos were wild.
Carlos Ramone. 5:18:59 PM
@richard.are you in PDX?
Jon Solomon (host) 5:19:31 PM
Yeah, we had to replace two cars in the past year (not recommended) and both old cars had CD players. One also had no functional engine so you win some and you lose some.
TAndy 5:20:06 PM
Ooh. Woke up just in time for Water Damage!
Dan Wade 5:20:10 PM
You can always get one of those discman cassette adapters
Rob from snowy Maryland 5:20:13 PM
A functional engine is better than anything else, even a CD player
Rob from snowy Maryland 5:20:36 PM
Water Damage is a great band name
Rob from snowy Maryland 5:20:55 PM
Dan, I might have to if it comes to that
richard lyons:) 5:21:01 PM
Crazy, for sure! Days without electricity. luckily we are in a town with city power away from Portland General Electric. Yes Carlos. A few miles southwest of PDX.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:21:04 PM
I did wonder if there was a way to get a portable CD player running into the USB....
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 5:21:16 PM

Carlos Ramone. 5:21:50 PM
I have a daughter in NE PDX..love go8 g out there a few times a year
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 5:21:55 PM
Jon do you have a Sony Discman & inline skates
Jon Solomon (host) 5:22:11 PM
I could likely come up with the former faster than the latter.
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 5:22:32 PM
Lolz
Jon Solomon (host) 5:23:38 PM
I think about a gigantic vegan BBQ burrito I had in Portland a few years ago more often than I reasonably should.
Travis in Color ado 5:23:44 PM
I use the discman with the tape adapter. HiFi !
Jon Solomon (host) 5:23:53 PM
There's a supposedly great pizza place there I want to go back and try.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:24:25 PM
I went to a talk Marc Masters gave about his book about the history of the cassette tape and the first audience question was about the car tape adapter and how it worked!
Carlos Ramone. 5:24:52 PM
@Jon..not sure why but Pizza is ridiculously e pensive in PDX
Travis in Color ado 5:25:28 PM
It's pure magic Jon!

Jon Solomon (host) 5:26:34 PM

joe 5:31:36 PM
$30 for a 12 inch pie in a place close to the Pacific ocean feels pretty wild to me but I'd give it a go.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:31:43 PM
KB! The talk of PDX practically summoned you to the chat!
joe 5:32:13 PM
There's a bunch of cool new places in South Jersey by me that have cropped up lately I haven't tried yet.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:32:13 PM
My kid sent me a video of a blackberry pizza this week and I was intrigued.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:32:27 PM
Joe, I saw south jersey favorite Pizza Crime is closing!
Jon Solomon (host) 5:32:43 PM
Back Door is my favorite SJ spot of the ones I've been to.
Kristin Belz 5:33:53 PM
jon it sure did! oh its pizza thief on vaughn. also wild child for thick slices with odd interesting choices. i honestly have a hard time picking a fave. even our closest ones, pinky's on n interstate, and saraveza tavern pies now on their menu - could eat pizza daily.
joe 5:34:05 PM
I just figured pizza crime was gonna make the jump to Philly. I think we'll hear from them soon.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:34:42 PM
Joe, I wondered by their wording if Pizza Crime will return just under a different name.
Carlos Ramone. 5:35:27 PM
@kristin..daughter went to timber lodge a few weekends ago to celebrate wedding anniversary. Friday was good..Saturday A bit overcast..woke up Sunday AM to 2.5 feet of snow with no warning
Rob F 5:35:37 PM
A couple days ago my son said we should go to Delorenzo's Pizza Robbinsville, NJ this weekend
Jon Solomon (host) 5:35:53 PM
Rob, that's a smart kid.
joe 5:36:08 PM
My favorite place in Philly is Angelo's and they started just up the street from Pizza Crime. Haddonfields good for giving good pizza away!
Jon Solomon (host) 5:36:24 PM
I like to get a red pie there plus a white pie with garlic, mushroom and spinach.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:36:37 PM
I have heard good things from others about Angelo's.
joe 5:36:41 PM
Also taking a break from za to say I heard this band on your show earlier in 2023 and realllllly dig it.
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 5:37:19 PM
WATER DAMAGGGGGGGGGGEEEE
Jon Solomon (host) 5:37:37 PM
Thank goodness I brought dinner to the Barge for tonight's show or else this pizza talk would be murderin' me.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:38:04 PM
There's lots of bonus Water Damage to explore on their Bandcamp. Get lost in it!
richard lyons:) 5:40:23 PM
@Carlos, Timber Lodge can do that to you!
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 5:41:02 PM

Carlos Ramone. 5:41:14 PM
@richard..been there a few times in summer.great to walk in snow with shorts on
Carlos Ramone. 5:42:19 PM
@richard..any thoughts on PIPS donuts and tea?
Rob F 5:43:49 PM
I meant De Lorenzo's Tomato Pies
richard lyons:) 5:44:52 PM
I prefer that to Voodoo,100%!
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 5:45:13 PM
This song is brown 👍
Jon Solomon (host) 5:45:36 PM
Rob, the one in Robbinsville or the one on Sloan Ave.?
Jon Solomon (host) 5:46:11 PM
(I have a preference.)
Rob F 5:46:32 PM
Robbinsville
Carlos Ramone. 5:46:44 PM
@richard…great to hear!!! son in law works there..Been there for my last 3 bdays..free dozen for the birthday boy
Jon Solomon (host) 5:47:12 PM
Yeah, Robbinsville is the better of these two options I feel.
Rob F 5:47:21 PM
Tomato pies instead of pizza. Ha
TAndy 5:47:56 PM
I still haven't tried them or Papa's yet :(
Rob F 5:48:05 PM
Yes, I agree
Rob F 5:48:35 PM
Both great
Jon Solomon (host) 5:49:10 PM
If you go to Papa's, gotta get a mustard pie.
Rob F 5:49:57 PM
I still haven't had the mustard pie, cause my son doesn't like mustard
Jon Solomon (host) 5:50:04 PM
Fair!
Mary Jones 5:50:52 PM

richard lyons:) 5:52:28 PM

Jill Popko 5:57:27 PM
Not to get political….. BUT Papa’s is owned by some hardcore Fash. And they take pride in it.
Jon Solomon (host) 5:58:47 PM
Yo, Mary!
Jon Solomon (host) 5:59:33 PM
Jill, I did stop going to Papa's for basically that reason. They held a back porch press conference that was a dealbreaker for this guy. Plenty of other places for my mustard pie fix to be satisfied.
Mary Jones 5:59:34 PM
Yo Jon! Any and all pizza talk has my interest.
Jill Popko 5:59:39 PM
How do I know? They throw big fund raisers for the worst among us. In my opinion.
Andrew Chalfen 5:59:45 PM
Still enjoying the post post punk revival.
Dennis Lingg 6:00:36 PM
99 cent nyc slices may be my favorite pizza.
Rob F 6:00:45 PM
Jill - didn't know that. Thanks
Mary Jones 6:00:56 PM
Jill, yeah, that doesn’t really surprise me, it’s why I don’t buy Goya beans at Costco anymore.
Andrew Chalfen 6:01:24 PM
To wit, last year's album by R.M.F.C. "Club Hits" is in my fomenting best-of list.
Jill Popko 6:01:28 PM
lol, thanks Jon - never know if I’m stepping out of line.
Jon Solomon (host) 6:01:41 PM
Jill, I have a real heartbreaker of a pizza story I'll spare you all in full about having one of the best local pies of all time and then when I went to pay seeing something that made me realize this place was no longer getting my $$$.
Mary Jones 6:01:46 PM
You find out where your money’s going, and maybe boycotts don’t work, but I don’t have to give them my money.
Mary Jones 6:02:38 PM
Dennis, that is a real value > quality
DJ Tenderloin 6:03:11 PM

DJ Tenderloin 6:03:58 PM
signing on a little late - work work work
Dennis Lingg 6:05:22 PM
I’ve been crazy busy but couldn’t miss pizza talk.
Kristin Belz 6:05:51 PM
@carlos @richard good tip on pips - haven't tried it yet, but voodoo is an absolute no in my book, all hype and no taste. and timberline lodge must be looking good these past few days! fresh snow is always a bonus. and now i know where to go for birthday beer and doughnuts!
Carlos Ramone. 6:06:18 PM
A fortune from Bazooka bubble gum comic.
Jon Solomon (host) 6:06:27 PM
Not to turn this into a blind item but there are two well-known pizza places in Central NJ with very similar names and one of them went so over the top in the Facebook comments back in 2020 the other had to make a post saying "yeah, we're not going to ever talk politics online, you've got the wrong pizza spot."
Carlos Ramone. 6:06:39 PM
You will open up a pizzeria if you can raise the dough
DJ Tenderloin 6:07:46 PM
are we talking about the za? Pizzaria Beddia in Fishtown / N Libs is out this world fantastic. Like Frank Pepe in New Haven CN! seriously. amazing.
Jon Solomon (host) 6:07:53 PM
Between unfortunate political leanings and Barstool allegiances, it is getting harder and harder out there!
TAndy 6:08:03 PM
Sad news about Papa's but knowing the area I'm not surprised.
TAndy 6:08:55 PM
Nino's Pizzarama still #1 Corleone's on S. Olden CLOSE second
Carlos Ramone. 6:09:00 PM
@ Kristin..on PIPS a visit say hello to Henry..great guy
Jon Solomon (host) 6:09:38 PM
Nino's was a real "driving to City Gardens as a kid" landmark. Loved the shape of their building (now a Dunkin' Donuts).
Jon Solomon (host) 6:10:08 PM
Dennis! Belated greetings!
TAndy 6:10:29 PM
That's a different Nino's, now located near the McDonalds on the circle and owned by different people I think. I loved their pizza as a kid from that old building.
Kristin Belz 6:10:32 PM
@carlos i will indeed! gives me a reason to get doughnuts soon. @jon great show and community gathering here as usual.
TAndy 6:11:00 PM
Nino's Pizzarama located on Chambers near S. Broad, behind that late night chicken place
Jon Solomon (host) 6:11:03 PM
I think I only went there once in the early 2000s when I used to live down the street.
DJ Tenderloin 6:11:17 PM
https://www.pizzeriabeddia.com/
TAndy 6:11:50 PM
I went to the Circle Nino's a few weeks ago and it was inexpensive but not very good quality. Coulda been worse. Pizza City still my favorite in that neck of the woods though
Jon Solomon (host) 6:12:16 PM
Beddia is no joke! Had a great time there recently for a friend's 50th. We did the table where they bring you a selection of pies over the course of the evening.
Jon Solomon (host) 6:12:52 PM
We had one to many people for the Hoagie Room. I don't think our host thought everyone he invited would RSVP yes!
DJ Tenderloin 6:13:05 PM
Yes! Beddia! Nice. Glad you went. No Tip Sag! Super thin n crispy
Jon Solomon (host) 6:13:18 PM
The Beddia dough recipe is our go-to dough recipe at home now.
DJ Tenderloin 6:13:42 PM
wow. impressive. how do you get the oven hot enough?
Dennis Lingg 6:14:24 PM
Hey Jon, sorry I’ve been scarce on the chat, I’ve been listening but work/life balance has been out of whack for a while.
Carlos Ramone. 6:14:27 PM
@ Jon ..drooling lime Homer S thinking about the hoagie room..been there 2x on somebody’s else’s dime both times
DJ Tenderloin 6:15:22 PM
Emmy Squared for Detroit Style. and then either Santucci's (though I feel like it's gone down hill recently) or Pica's for upside down detroit
DJ Tenderloin 6:15:46 PM
The Hoagie Room! Haven't been yet but hope to.
Jon Solomon (host) 6:16:35 PM
Dennis, no need to be sorry!
Jon Solomon (host) 6:16:54 PM
DJ Tenderloin, we do an oven at 500 / broiler combo.
DJ Tenderloin 6:17:05 PM
Dennis I feel you - I've been too busy lately!
DJ Tenderloin 6:17:54 PM
Jon - interesting combo. When am I coming over for this pizza???
DJ Tenderloin 6:18:02 PM
Ha
Jon Solomon (host) 6:18:47 PM
Not sure when we're due to make some more pies but hopefully soon. The kid has been on a cooking tear. She made three kinds of biscotti yesterday like it was no big thing.
DJ Tenderloin 6:20:00 PM
Sounds lovely for dipping in one's coffee - I'll take a few of those too!
DJ Tenderloin 6:21:02 PM
still gotta send you that Ripple record. too busy. before your next b'cast
Jon Solomon (host) 6:21:45 PM
No jinxes, but I feel like I only finished digging out from the end of last year this week.
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 6:22:39 PM
Nice song babe
Jon Solomon (host) 6:23:12 PM

Teresa Peacock 6:29:24 PM
Hello Jon, Matt, Tenderloin, TAndy, Carlos, et al.! Loving Part Two as much as I love(d) Part One! The single by Jane Weaver that provided an amuse bouche for an April full-length put me in mind of the strange case of the band Big Brave. In late December 2022, Big Brave came out with a single that seemed to promise a full-length. The single was really arresting and unique, and I thought surely they would be on everyone's Top Music of 2023 list. But nothing ever came of it?
Jon Solomon (host) 6:30:32 PM
Hey, Teresa! The Jane Weaver record has at least been announced! Perhaps there was an unforeseen production delay? I know I often wait on announcing a record until everything is done done out of fear of missing deadlines...
Jon Solomon (host) 6:31:34 PM
Wait, new record announced a couple days ago??
Jon Solomon (host) 6:31:38 PM
https://www.brooklynvegan.com/bigbrave-announce-new-album-share-i-felt-a-funeral/
Jon Solomon (host) 6:31:58 PM
Out on my birthday no less.
Teresa Peacock 6:32:26 PM
I think something like that did in fact occur. I ran out of comment space but I was leading up to that...
Teresa Peacock 6:33:21 PM
Really?! April 19th?! Boy oh boy is April going to be a sensational month for new releases!!!
Jon Solomon (host) 6:33:36 PM
I had something I was working on that was due middle of last year but because of bunk test pressings and other production calamities it got shoved back to February 2024.
Jon Solomon (host) 6:33:46 PM
It happens. Not fun, but it happens.
Teresa Peacock 6:34:48 PM
Indeed!
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 6:35:42 PM
Feelies! Always get them confused with Swirlies
DJ Tenderloin 6:36:00 PM

Oooh here's a 2023 record I've bought *and* listened to several times. Perhaps because of Jon Solomon playing them?
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:37:13 PM
Matt, they sound a little different... ;-)
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 6:38:20 PM
Lol true
Jon Solomon (host) 6:39:30 PM
This song in [redacted TV show] was one of my favorite music cues of 2023.
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:40:26 PM
Pitchfork is being folded into GQ https://news.yahoo.com/pitchfork-folded-gq-cond-nast-224910686.html RIP Pitchfork
Rob F 6:40:29 PM
Why I am getting Marshall Tucker vibes
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:40:54 PM
Rob, I can see that
Jon Solomon (host) 6:41:10 PM
Does that mean the Pitchfork name will go away? If so, weird. Or will it be Pitchfork content on the GQ site?
DJ Tenderloin 6:41:35 PM
Mo / Marshall Tucker
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:42:05 PM
Jon, from the linked article “Today we are evolving our Pitchfork team structure by bringing the team into the GQ organization,” wrote Wintour. “This decision was made after a careful evaluation of Pitchfork’s performance and what we believe is the best path forward for the brand so that our coverage of music can continue to thrive within the company.”
Jon Solomon (host) 6:42:38 PM
Those are indeed some words!
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:42:46 PM
but I don't know about the name disappearing. The head of Pitchfork, Puja Patel, is leaving
DJ Tenderloin 6:43:19 PM
It sounds like what they tell you in a dystopian future right before they kill you
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:43:50 PM
Indeed, some words 😠
Jon Solomon (host) 6:43:53 PM
I hope they paradigm shift their vertical integration!
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:44:01 PM
DJ T, you're right
Jon Solomon (host) 6:44:09 PM
(Either before or after they pivot to video.)
DJ Tenderloin 6:44:45 PM
"i'm sorry but your continued existence is no longer necessary..."
DJ Tenderloin 6:45:11 PM
paradigm shift their vertical integration - ha! exactly
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:45:16 PM
Jon, re pivot to video 🤣
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:45:53 PM
DJ T, re vert integr, also 🤣
Jon Solomon (host) 6:45:56 PM
I do feel bad for not only people who lost their jobs today but also for people who hope to make music their career who have one fewer place where that could be possible now.
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:46:13 PM
but the continued existence 😠
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:46:56 PM
Jon, re careers, yep 😓
Jon Solomon (host) 6:47:17 PM
Not a lot of sites from the halcyon days of blog rock left.
Jon Solomon (host) 6:47:34 PM
Forgot Stereogum's founder bought the site back in 2020.
DJ Tenderloin 6:48:20 PM
I miss / love actual magazines - tactile things you can hold. while on the can, typically. but still.
Matt Sabbath, Neanderthal 6:49:10 PM
Thrasher mag has good music coverage. 🛹
Kristin Belz 6:50:11 PM
"thrive within the company" my foot. what bs.
DJ Tenderloin 6:50:34 PM
when i was a snotty little punk rock kid I used to read Maximum RockNRoll
Jon Solomon (host) 6:50:40 PM
A couple of physical music magazines have returned / launched in recent years like Maggot Brain and Sound Collector.
DJ Tenderloin 6:51:41 PM
and Mojo goes on and on...
Carlos Ramone. 6:51:44 PM
@DJ Tenderloin…MRR had wayyyy too many letters tothe editor..way too long ones
Jon Solomon (host) 6:52:55 PM
Cream too, though I have heard mixed things about their content.
DJ Tenderloin 6:53:21 PM
MRR was just hard to read period. it was not really a magazine about layout. it was just tiny type, row after row. as i remember.
DJ Tenderloin 6:54:30 PM
I did make some cool punk rock pen pals out of MRR and we would trade flyers. That's how I got a bunch of west coast classic flyers - Black Flag, Minutemen (Pettibone) - Circle Jerks, etc.
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:54:49 PM
DJ T and you are so right about MRR
Ossy 6:54:52 PM
Evening Jon, new years!
Rob from snowy Maryland 6:55:20 PM
*DJ T and Carlos
Ossy 6:56:32 PM
LOL, almost sounded you said my name when mentioned the Oses Band
DJ Tenderloin 6:56:54 PM
and MRR was printed on the cheapest newsprint paper too. the total punk rock esthetic!
Carlos Ramone. 6:57:16 PM
Last song had me thinking of the Dickies You drive me ape..you big gorilla
DJ Tenderloin 7:01:32 PM
actually this is a little like the Dickies!
Jon Solomon (host) 7:02:04 PM
MRR should come with a complimentary magnifying glass!
Carlos Ramone. 7:02:27 PM
Would be needed at my age
DJ Tenderloin 7:02:46 PM
I was thinking the same thing!
DJ Tenderloin 7:05:35 PM
Jon last week you made a pact - to listen to one thing from 2023 that you were meaning to and to purchase something from 2023. I was unable to complete either of these tasks. Sad. How did you fare? How did any other listeners fare? better than me I hope
Jon Solomon (host) 7:06:20 PM
I asked a store I know to hold a copy of that Feelies VU record for me, which will have to do.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:06:38 PM
That's the one release from last year I still would really like to have.
DJ Tenderloin 7:06:42 PM
man i want that record.
Rob F 7:11:54 PM
this Natural Information Society is really good
Jill Popko 7:12:46 PM
This is fabulous
Jon Solomon (host) 7:12:47 PM
I was just noting that this is one of those records I love both tracks I've played but I still need to hear the album in full.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:13:05 PM
Really loved seeing them play outdoors in Philadelphia a few years prior.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:13:45 PM
At the Rail Park. Most people stood on different levels of the parking garage to watch them down below.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:22:25 PM
It just got very chilly in the Barge. Might need to put my feet up against the radio to warm up some more.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:26:35 PM
Anyone else seeing an increased snow forecast for Thursday -> Friday in the Princeton / Trenton area?
Carlos Ramone. 7:27:49 PM
@ Jon…during Bills Steelers game on Monday during the commercial breaks they were playing a fireplace on the video screens at stadium. Reminds me of Channel 9 during the holidays
Carlos Ramone. 7:28:04 PM
Kept them warm
Jon Solomon (host) 7:28:35 PM
Ha. There's an amazing Art But Make It Sports from that game. The "attendees must wear rubber pants" warning was unreal.

Jon Solomon (host) 7:29:45 PM
One of the best accounts out there.
Carlos Ramone. 7:30:53 PM
Not to be confused with the dumpster fire for 3+ hours on Monday night on my TV
Rob F 7:31:30 PM
I just saw a link to this a couple days ago
Jon Solomon (host) 7:31:51 PM
Carlos, it is very rare for me to bail on a sporting event I'm invested in the result of but I gave up on that game and put on something else in the second half. Bleak stuff!
Rob F 7:32:00 PM

Jon Solomon (host) 7:32:29 PM
Go...Lions?
Rob from snowy Maryland 7:38:00 PM
Jon, re your increased snow forecast ... maybe that's why DC's snow amount has decreased
Joe Guarnaccia 7:38:36 PM
Jon, as usual, thanks for the diverse music exposure. This is a great radio station.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:38:49 PM
I saw a 4"-6" graphic on nj.com for Trenton but the article indicates 1"-3".
Jon Solomon (host) 7:39:07 PM
Joe! You are so welcome. I'm a big fan of what WPRB is doing these days on a regular basis.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:40:57 PM
This reads either way like delayed opening / virtual school on Friday to me...
DJ Readie 7:42:09 PM
Evening Jon, & chatters...just jumpin' on to say how fabulous is this Farid El Atrache!
Rob F 7:42:11 PM
My weather app says 2.8" Friday
Jon Solomon (host) 7:43:02 PM
Hey Readie! Lovely stuff.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:43:41 PM
That would be more than we got yesterday, Rob (though the freezing rain was perhaps the worst of it all).
DJ Readie 7:45:05 PM
great sounds tonight!
Jon Solomon (host) 7:45:39 PM
Thank you! Been fun! No jinxes!
DJ Readie 7:47:27 PM
😉
Rob from snowy Maryland 7:49:03 PM
Jon, I just checked 4 short-term model maps on pivotalweather.com and they are giving 2.5 to 5.1 inches of snowfall through 7 pm Friday for Trenton, and roughly the same for Philly.
Rob F 7:50:01 PM
I vote for 2.5
Rob from snowy Maryland 7:50:44 PM
Rob F, me too
DJ Tenderloin 7:51:36 PM
Meh - that will make it harder for me to go to Fergie's Pub on Friday to see John Train...
Rob from snowy Maryland 7:52:08 PM
These same short-term models give no more than ~1 1/4 inch for DC, which is less than other, medium-range models were predicting this morning for DC. Bummer for you, phew for us
DJ Tenderloin 7:52:31 PM
Great show Jon! excellent tunes. Maybe we'll see you next week? we'll see....
Jon Solomon (host) 7:52:41 PM
Ah, thank you Rob! Certainly not a bad time in my schedule for a storm and plenty of time for these models to change as the weather closes in.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:53:01 PM
We do have dinner plans on Friday night but if they get postponed it will be fine.
Jon Solomon (host) 7:53:13 PM
No Hoagie Room, is what I'm saying......
richard lyons:) 7:53:20 PM
Great show, Jon. Thanks!
Jon Solomon (host) 7:53:37 PM
This was one of the most fun nights on the radio I can remember, which is saying something. Thanks, all!
DJ Tenderloin 7:54:01 PM
Hoagie Room!
Rob F 7:54:19 PM
Yes, great show. Thanks!
Rob from snowy Maryland 7:55:40 PM
We both enjoyed your show tonight, Jon, thank you! Everyone stay warm and indoors if necessary on Friday!
Jon Solomon (host) 7:56:43 PM
I'll be moving some more firewood indoors tomorrow I expect.
Jon Solomon (host) 8:00:13 PM
Thanks, Rob!
