Need to really listen to this full album. I feel like I'd have to be in a really dark place to appreciate it, though. That's my assumption for my own experience tho

i recently heard it for the first time and was pretty blown away, especially because i've never been that crazy about duster

I remember trying to listen to a Duster album once when I was feeling down and I just got pissed off at how sad it tried to be LOL

I felt the same when I tried listening to Motorist Killed By Sign (?). Just too heavy with the sads

i don't listen to much sad music either

I never really liked screamo kind of music when I was younger but I really appreciate it now. Like a lot of vocal styles you'd hear in black metal or skramz, it feels so natural

i liked the asunojokei album from a couple of years ago

and deafheaven used to be a big hit with me

I don't go out of my way to find it but I usually like it when I hear it. DJ JT played some REAL good stuff a few nights ago, and Deafheaven is totally one of those bands I want to see live someday.
