I know I'm full of crap, but nonetheless, I had the idea to record a jazz cover of Broadway years before George Benson. But I wanted to record it with flugelhorn player Art Farmer, and George Benson sold millions and millions of his vocal version. What the hell do I know?

Leon Russell had moderate success with Masquearade.Then George Benson took the ball into the end zone and spiked it.
