I remember when I was younger I thought that going to see the ball drop would be fun

Went with my dad that afternoon and manhattan was so fkn packed and full of cigarette smoke, we went home before sundown

I've only heard horrific things about going to New York on NYE

I went to Times Square the day after Christmas one year and it was too much for me

And then I heard the harsh reality of people bringing empty bottles and cans for relief, and not being able to escape until sunrise the next morning

New Years Day countdown on CNN is a tradition for me

But yeah it gets high crazy on New years eve

My dad wants to go BACK to the city after Christmas. Thank God it's looking like rain after Christmas, i hate going to new york anymore lol

Five years ago I saw Dear Nora’s Katy Davidson play solo at the Shore Caribbean Restaurant in Long Branch. Teenage Halloween’s Luk Henderiks booked shows there for a short time, in easy walking distance from my home.

Friends and I saw a Rurouni Kenshin movie in NYC few years back, it was busy loaded on the streets

I remember Luk! They lived in my neighborhood for a bit before going back to NJ

Also, Yellow Fever changed their name to Deep Time and put out an lp on hardly art that is good, but not as good as their stuff as Yellow Fever. I got to see them once at Chaos in Tejas and they were really great live.
