This chat’s discussion of the Phoenixes reminds me when I went to see River and one of his siblings play at Maxwell’s in 1988. I got there so late, they had already left. The silver lining was that I did catch the headlining act who instantly became my favorite band–the Untamed Youth, fronted by Deke Dickerson!
