TAndy, the car survived but not without some decent damage to the back. Got the police report and as expected the other driver was confirmed as at fault. Still annoying but could have been much worse - especially for the guy who hit me as I realized subsequently that if he hadn't hit me after dozing off he would have gone straight into a traffic light / the woods.

I want to say the guy had a harmonica but that might be the first ever case of wishful thinking involving a harmonica.

Picked up a Purple Potato Pie today to go with the pie my wife is making and it had Unexpected Whipped Cream on it. This was not what the picture had led us to expect. At all. I wonder if it is covering some sort of defect.

I'll be doing my trademark ginger garlic Tofurkey with roasted root vegetables. Kid is prepping some sort of "ombrè gratin."

one year we made a sort of root vegetable shepherd's pie thing, but the carrots we used were purple, and the whole thing turned purple. I will be v impressed if the ombre works out
