@Mike Constantine / Rob - I love the juxtaposition of bright red male cardinals against fresh snow...but I am NOT yearning for any snow any time soon! I enjoy not sliding on the roads. Adolescent male cardinals crack me up because they look so awkward and derpy, but none of those out at the moment

@Rob from Maryland - oh wow, i love hearing alternate ice cream truck jingles around Philly, let alone from around the world! I heard a fun one in Ireland that I wish I had recorded with my phone, but there would have been a LOT of ambient wind noise and kids....field recording!

BTW - the GREATEST movie about pre-teen "puppy love" has to be "Melody" featuring a soundtrack by The BeeGees

@Lizbot hee hee. Otoh there was a truck that came down my block for a few consecutive summers that had a jingle that I LOATHED. I ended up calling up the Fastbacks song "In The Summer" and playing it REAL LOUD to drown out the jingle if I heard it at all.
