Travis in Ganjarado 5:03:50 PM
Keep the dulls and sharps in the correct boxes this week!
Number 6 5:04:49 PM
Greetings to all you souls and soles out there!
Lizbot (host) 5:04:50 PM
Hi Travis in Ganjarado! Ha! We have toiled long hours to rectify that prickly situation!
Number 6 5:05:33 PM
I am a sole soul.
Lizbot (host) 5:05:41 PM
Hi Number 6 ! Soul sisters and soul bots...hmmm, contradictory phrase!
Number 6 5:06:34 PM
@Liz-Check the DJ mail drawer if you haven't already.
Lizbot (host) 5:07:30 PM
@Number 6 - Will do...I am a bit hesitant as Killbot might've left me some rusty sharps...
Lizbot (host) 5:08:49 PM
@Number 6 - got 'em! (letters, not sharps)
Number 6 5:08:59 PM
There was somebodies dental aid in there, but I think that it got tossed.
Lizbot (host) 5:09:52 PM
@Number 6 - That lived in there for at least a month! It might've had other things living on it by the time I got tossed!
Number 6 5:13:36 PM
Shel Silverstein also did this song.
Lizbot (host) 5:15:53 PM
@Number 6 - Shel wrote it!
Lizbot (host) 5:16:46 PM
@Number 6 - The crazy thing is, 25 Minutes to Go is like a solemn scary version of Shel Silverstein's poem for children about slowly getting swallowed by a boa constrictor!
Number 6 5:17:22 PM
Shel also wrote A Boy Named Sue, and also Father Of A Boy Named Sue, but that one is a DNP!
Lizbot (host) 5:19:40 PM
@Number 6 - I haven't heard Father of a Boy Named Sue, but I know Shel worked "blue" often!
Number 6 5:21:51 PM
Check it out on youtube, pretty funny!
Lizbot (host) 5:22:19 PM
@Number 6 - I met Shel Silverstein very briefly by the old historic carousel in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard in the late 90s. He was lurking...and "lurking" truly is the best word to describe it...just watching the kids on the carousel with an intense expression. My friend, the one who invited me to stay with her family in MV, said Shel would hang out there often but was very unfriendly
Lizbot (host) 5:22:30 PM
@Number 6- Will do, after the show of course!
Number 6 5:22:44 PM
Johnny Cash wouldn't touch that one.
Lizbot (host) 5:23:33 PM
@Number 6 - I waved and said "Hi" and said I loved his poems, but he just kinda muttered and stared. My friend said she went up to his porch when she was very little to talk to him when she found out he lived down the street from her and he HATED that! haha
Number 6 5:24:02 PM
So he was eying little girls with bad intent?
PledgeRob from Maryland 5:24:23 PM
Hello everyone. Just joining as Roky Erickson's song started.
Lizbot (host) 5:25:47 PM
Hello PledgeRob from Maryland!
Lizbot (host) 5:26:28 PM
@PledgeRob - Glad you can join us!
Lizbot (host) 5:27:12 PM
@Number 6 - I wouldn't say that, he just had an intense and very unfriendly vibe. Look at his photo on the sleeve of his children's books! Terrifying!
Lizbot (host) 5:28:03 PM
@Number 6 - My friend said he would watch the kids on the carousel often for inspiration for his kids poems, but he didn't like actually talking to any kids!
Number 6 5:28:26 PM
Who knew? At least he got everything out in poems, I guess.
Brian 'D' for Donor 5:38:15 PM
How high's the boa constrictor daddy? He said it's five fe-- aachchcehchehehccch
George Korein 5:39:00 PM
Barbaric Barbrie likes to skew ‘em on the barbie
Lizbot (host) 5:39:51 PM
HI Brian 'D' for Donor!
Lizbot (host) 5:40:05 PM
@Number 6 - A healthy outlet!
Brian 'D' for Donor 5:40:27 PM
Purgatory mahone
Lizbot (host) 5:40:34 PM
@George Korein - oh no! I guess William was sweet in more ways than one!
Lizbot (host) 5:41:09 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - Purgatory alone
Brian 'D' for Donor 5:41:47 PM
A Boy Named Sue Me I'm Being Eaten by a Boa Constrictor Where the Sidewalk Ends
George Korein 5:43:34 PM
Sweet William died as he lived: saucy
Lizbot (host) 5:43:48 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - ha! I was REALLY into the concept of "where the sidewalk ends" as a sort of hinterland/The Nothing (from Neverending Story) and have intense memories of walking around my hometown in South Jersey with my mom as a kid, looking for where the sidewalk ended
Lizbot (host) 5:44:30 PM
@George Korein - HA! Saucy William got the rose, Barbara only got a barbed briar
Lizbot (host) 5:45:23 PM
@Brian D - Where the Sidewalk Ends should be marked on maps with the warning "Thar be serpents here!"
George Korein 5:45:34 PM
This song has the word “cenobite”
George Korein 5:45:45 PM
Autocorrect recognizes cenobite
Lizbot (host) 5:46:25 PM
@George Korein - Try a bite, try a hundred bites: a cenobite
George Korein 5:46:55 PM
I’m thinking that’d be a centabite
Lizbot (host) 5:46:57 PM
@George Korein - Trilobites, try high bites. Try a hundred bytes of digital cenobite
George Korein 5:47:18 PM
Cenobite is just something made up for Hellraiser
Lizbot (host) 5:47:31 PM
@George korein - 100 Cenobites for my cena
George Korein 5:48:07 PM
Haha try low, try high, try John Cena
George Korein 5:48:38 PM
John Cena bite, John heard a bite
Lee Chandler 5:48:38 PM
This just makes me Iove Shel Silverstein more. Despite being an avid reader my entire life, I had never read his books until I was an adult.
Lizbot (host) 5:48:51 PM
Hi Lee Chandler!
George Korein 5:49:02 PM
John felt a bite, John dealt a bite
George Korein 5:49:31 PM
At the scene o’ bite
Lizbot (host) 5:49:53 PM
@George Korein - In the right corner: John Cena. In the left corner: TriloBITE, whose tagline is "You're not gonna make a fossil outta me!"
Lizbot (host) 5:50:15 PM
@Lee Chandler - He was quite a character!
George Korein 5:51:20 PM
Haha!
Number 6 5:51:30 PM
I first heard Shel on the Dr. Demento show many aeons ago.
Lizbot (host) 5:51:59 PM
@George Korein - Watch out! That Bardo Pond is infested with trilobites!
Lee Chandler 5:52:01 PM
@Lizbot - ‘Intense & Unfriendly’ is now on my list of future titles…for anything.
George Korein 5:52:12 PM
Trilo style, yo
Lizbot (host) 5:53:13 PM
@Number 6 - Dr. Demento was my intro to Fishheads by Barnes & Barnes, which then led me to Larry Wildman Fischer. The next door neighbor dad of a kid I played with in the 80s played us all kinds of great stuff from Dr. Demento's show!
George Korein 5:53:14 PM
Trilobites waiting to be reincarnated, hmm
Lizbot (host) 5:53:31 PM
@Lee Chandler - haha! SOmething to strive for!
Lee Chandler 5:53:49 PM
TriloBITE is promoted by The Rock.
George Korein 5:53:54 PM
Have you the soul of a trilobite?
Lizbot (host) 5:54:06 PM
@George Korein - Trilobites with visors get priority
Lizbot (host) 5:54:18 PM
@Lee Chandler - TriloBITE is IN a rock!
George Korein 5:54:26 PM
Their future is so bright
George Korein 5:54:40 PM
They gotta grow a visor
Lizbot (host) 5:55:20 PM
@George Korein - I want that on a shirt
Number 6 5:55:22 PM
Fish heads, fish heads, rolly polly fish heads!
Lizbot (host) 5:55:27 PM
@George Korein - or on a visor
Lizbot (host) 5:56:07 PM
@Number 6 - I took great pleasure in introducing my daughter, when she was a toddler, to Fish Heads!
Travis in Ganjarado 5:57:10 PM
I first heard Fish Heads on the Dr Demento Show
Lee Chandler 5:57:43 PM
Eat’em up..yum. That bit pops up in my head a few times a month.
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 5:57:55 PM
Feliz Día de los Muertos!
Lizbot (host) 5:58:06 PM
@Travis in Ganjarado - Same! THrough my awesome neighbor when I was a kid. I remember the video sometimes made it onto early cable late at night! Dr. Demento did IMPORTANt WORK!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 5:58:10 PM
Billy Mummy, lol
Lizbot (host) 5:58:33 PM
Greetings, Roffle! I leave ofrendas of calaveras de azucar for the dead!
Lizbot (host) 5:59:11 PM
@Roffle - and pan de muerte! The children's museum of brooklyn has a whole Mexican bakery inside it with pan de muerte!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:00:20 PM
Wow, doughnuts to die for...
Lizbot (host) 6:00:30 PM
This song is insane
Lizbot (host) 6:00:43 PM
I like to think of the souls and skellingtons dancing to this
Lizbot (host) 6:00:56 PM
@Roffle - Quite literally!
Lizbot (host) 6:01:19 PM
@Roffle - If us living eat of the pan de muerte, do we die? i don't wanna find out!
TAndy: Monthly Doner 🥙 6:01:46 PM
Waking up to vocaloid sounds ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lizbot (host) 6:02:00 PM
@Lee Chandler - I still frequently sing Fish Heads when the occasion arises, which is often!
Number 6 6:02:14 PM
I have a pink vinyl edition of the B & B Fish Heads song and also a copy signed by the great Dr. himself.
Sugar Sidious 6:02:24 PM
This is dope
Lizbot (host) 6:02:47 PM
Hello TAndy: Monthly Doner! - Nice! Glad to usher you into wakefulness with that prancey jam!
Travis in Ganjarado 6:02:52 PM
I just watched the video for the first time. Now I'm hungry
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:03:06 PM
Don't wanna drink the water either. :)
Sugar Sidious 6:03:10 PM
Ohhh! With a key change!!!
Lizbot (host) 6:03:18 PM
Hello Sugar Sidious! Glad you enjoyed the saccharine stylings of those bouncing sugar skulls
Lizbot (host) 6:03:41 PM
@Roffle - mmm, stagnant!
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:04:13 PM
Robyn Hitchcock: Trilobite, right Dwight's in the light-bite... Dwight
Lizbot (host) 6:04:23 PM
@Travis in Ganjarado - Eye of fish, tail of newt! Autumnal stew!
Lizbot (host) 6:04:50 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - whoa! Robyn WOULD have a trilobite song! Dwight's playing Lite-Brite
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:06:52 PM
Saw him for the first time at John and Peter's in 2008 and he played Trilobite! Said it may or may not have to do with a certain piano player last named Dwight. Reg/Elton that is
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:08:25 PM
Who's that on Spirograph?
Lizbot (host) 6:08:40 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - Nice! I saw him when he toured for that Ole! Tarantula album and I handed him a drawing I made of a cake I saw in NYC Chinatown that was labeled "CAKE" in icing, in case there was any confusion, because it reminded me of him.
Lizbot (host) 6:09:08 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - He just stared at it confused and said "thank you!" graciously
Lizbot (host) 6:09:21 PM
ahhhh, nice vibes
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:09:31 PM
On the "Mossy Liquor" lp. One of the several take offs on his other lp titles .. that one to Moss Elixir, Goovy Decoy -> Gravy Deco etc etc...
Lizbot (host) 6:09:52 PM
@Roffle - Spirographing with Trilobite, and Lite-Brite with Cenobite - two great forgotten cable children's shows
Lizbot (host) 6:10:35 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - I have Moss Elixir, the syrup is slicker and sweeter than Sweet William
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:12:17 PM
The woman and children of my village still sing of them.
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:13:20 PM
More purgatory sausage mom! Please!
Travis in Ganjarado 6:14:10 PM
Is purgatory sausage another NJ delicacy?
Travis in Ganjarado 6:14:26 PM
if you please
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:14:53 PM
Takoma with a k no less
Lizbot (host) 6:17:46 PM
@Roffle - As it should be. The Lites grow Brite in their memories. Somewhere they etch a spirograph of their souls
Lizbot (host) 6:18:28 PM
@Brian D - You don't get any sweet trilo-meat if you don't eat yr purgatory sausage!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:18:41 PM
Sacred geometry indeed
Lizbot (host) 6:19:45 PM
@Travis in Ganjarado - It's a favorite of Central Jerseyians, second only to Taylor Pork Roll and Gary Burton's Death Rolls
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:20:27 PM

Lizbot (host) 6:21:31 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - I take my Takoma no other way but with a "K," a special K, the kind that doesn't put you in a koma
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:22:28 PM
Unless you take too much Soma
Travis in Ganjarado 6:22:28 PM
I learn something about NJ culture everyday on WPRB!
Lizbot (host) 6:23:14 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - He's a Soma time man, soma here, coma, gone
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:23:26 PM
Heard this first from Mr Bowie
Lizbot (host) 6:23:30 PM
@Travis in Ganjarado - We aim to educate
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:23:39 PM
Soma teeth, some aren't
Travis in Ganjarado 6:23:58 PM
A reoccurring monthly donation to prb has netted more education than 6 years I spent in college
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:24:09 PM
Somnambulistic adventures
Lizbot (host) 6:24:43 PM
@Brian 'D' for Donor - Yes, of course Bowie would cover this. Was thinking of playing his death album, Blackstar. We'll see if there's time
Lizbot (host) 6:25:11 PM
@Travis in Ganjarado - Money well spent! (WPRB, I mean!)
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:25:36 PM

Lizbot (host) 6:28:43 PM

Lizbot (host) 6:34:00 PM
@Roffle - Ghost to Ghost Contact - cut out the middle man. There's somebody here who'll take their hachet and make him disappear!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:34:09 PM
I imagine that trilobites would have gone well in a gumbo somehow...
Lizbot (host) 6:34:23 PM

Chesapeake Bay trilobite cakes.
Jason Ferraro 6:37:12 PM
Your show just always makes me so damn happy. You keep nailing it. Xo
Lizbot (host) 6:37:23 PM
@Roffle - (Don't ask me how I know this) but the closest living to the trilobite is the horseshoe crab, which has opaque blue blood and whose eggs are served as a delicacy in Indonesia.
Lizbot (host) 6:37:51 PM
@Jason Ferraro - Thanks so much!
Lizbot (host) 6:38:13 PM
@Roffle - Chesapeake Bay Retriever those and bring some for us all!
Lizbot (host) 6:39:02 PM
@Roffle - Okay, I know this from Richard Fortey, former president of the Geological Society of London, who wrote a book about trilobites and attempted to egg horseshoe crab eggs in Indonesia, but could not stomach them!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:39:33 PM
Horseshoe crabs got that creepy thing down to a science after hundreds of millions of years for sure.
Ossy 6:39:48 PM
Liz - Ok Space Ghoul above that stinky halloween killbot monster!
Lizbot (host) 6:40:53 PM
@Ossy - Space Ghoul reigns on the Day of the Dead. Killbot is rusting in the Bardo pond
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:41:11 PM
Their blue blood has a special quality that escapes me at the moment
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:41:22 PM
Dozing in Holland. Leave some space for the cakes
Ossy 6:42:07 PM
Lizbot - Like Disney Pixar Coco, if you seen or heard that movie
Lizbot (host) 6:42:47 PM
Ohmme knows! Fantasize your ghost, coast to coast, ghost to ghost!
Lizbot (host) 6:43:58 PM
@Roffle - I can never forget the smell of hundreds of rotting horseshoe crabs in the noonday sun on Kitt's Hummock beach, Delaware a dozen years ago. We went to see them mate, a little day-trip because I'd always heard it was a sight to behold, but SO MANY CRABS don't understand how to get back to the ocean after they lay their eggs. Or they're just old and it's their time. Either way, many hundreds were dead, rotting with seagulls picking them over and an utterly PUTRID STENCH!
Lee Chandler 6:44:29 PM
@Travis in Ganjarado - while it was no ‘PRB, college radio is why I even went & stuck it out.
Lizbot (host) 6:45:28 PM
@Ossy - I like Coco. It came out when my kid was little and she was a fan. When we went to Mexico to visit Mayan ruins, we heard Recuerdame from Coco in multiple hotels, catering to the tourists! but it;s a good song!
Ossy 6:45:38 PM
Liz - That experience REALLY really smells beyond rotten milk and blue cheese together!!
Ossy 6:46:59 PM
Liz - Oh yes, I saw Coco yesterday on Freeform! Great musical and family movie, especially Remember Me of Hector and Coco
Lizbot (host) 6:47:38 PM
@Lee Chandler - college radio - savior of souls!
Lizbot (host) 6:49:16 PM
@Ossy - YEs, very pretty song. I love that it all came back to the grandma! We even heard a band playing Remember Me as a mariachi song
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:51:01 PM
LOL Lizbot, I've seen that in NJ too. Just everywhere on the beach. Attenborough moments.
Lizbot (host) 6:51:19 PM
speaking of Mayans...
TAndy: Monthly Doner 🥙 6:52:51 PM
Did someone say Mayan 🇬🇹
Lizbot (host) 6:53:25 PM
@Roffle - haha, yeah one of the ppl in my group picked up a still-live, flipped-over crab and attempted to toss it into the water, got his shoes stuck in the mud, released the crab early, and it went FLYING, spiraling through the air comically! Still made it to the edge of the water! I hope its exoskeleton protected it from the impact!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:53:25 PM
All those reincarnating horseshoe crabs... Mind blowing
Ossy 6:54:15 PM
Liz - Awesome Coco experience and Elder Coco is based on a real life woman that inspired the movie!
Lizbot (host) 6:55:16 PM
@TAndy - Mayan Book of the Dead, a codex for the modern hex!
Lizbot (host) 6:55:41 PM
@Ossy - I wonder if she lived to see the movie!
Lizbot (host) 6:56:03 PM
@Roffle - Crab Ghosts have exoskeletons protecting their souls
Ossy 6:57:06 PM
Liz - She passed on, but lived to see the movie!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 6:57:20 PM
Dem bones, dem bones..
Richard from Rocky Hill 6:59:33 PM
@ Lizbot (host) A transcendent playlist tonight. The Day of the Dead has never been livelier nor All Souls Day more spirited!
Lizbot (host) 7:05:35 PM
@Ossy - I'm so glad she got to see it!
Lizbot (host) 7:06:35 PM
Hello Richard from Rocky Hill! Thank you so much! I try to have a mix of reverent and irreverent tonight!
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:13:12 PM
@ @ Lizbot (host) Circa 2006, I went on an overnight camping trip to Cape May with some Princeton Ecology & Evolutionary Biology students to experience the horseshoe crab egg-laying and fertilizing orgy. Which it is! The larger females lay their eggs in the beach sand near the tide line; then drag the smaller males (2, 3 even 4, clinging to specialized flanges on her shell) over her egg cache to fertilize them.
Lizbot (host) 7:14:47 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill - It's truly something to behold!
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:15:11 PM
What is truly awesome, horseshoe crabs are more closely related to arachnids like spiders and scorpions, not true crabs. And they're virtually unchanged over the last 300 million years -- genuine "living fossils"!
Lizbot (host) 7:18:43 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill - Horseshoe crabs and sharks are both endlessly fascinating to me. My husband had a book called "Trilobites: Eye-Witness to History" in which the author, Richard Fortey (who we later met and interviewed in the Geological Society of London's library when he was the president there,) wrote about wanting to know what a trilobite would taste like, so to get the next closest thing, he tried horseshoe crab eggs in Indonesia, where they are a traditional dish! He was not a fan!
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:23:42 PM
Great tales, Liz, thanks! And here's an important hint: If you go to the annual breeding event, tape pieces of translucent red plastic (like the kind used in theatrical color lighting gels) over your camera flashes and your flashlights. Full spectrum white light blinds the horseshoe crabs' multitude of eyes (yes, they're related to spiders!) but the low-end spectrum red light doesn't impair them. Go, be thrilled - and support conservation efforts to protect these special and important creatures!
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:26:33 PM
@ Lizbot (host) The hint was for aspiring first-time horseshoe crab seekers in Radio Land ... I'm thinking you've seen it, Liz, yes?
Lizbot (host) 7:27:57 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill - Oh wow! Good tip! I didn't know that! I have a lot of photos from that day-trip, taken on my old camera-phone, (which I assume would be safe for them?) and my favorite thing to photograph there was the mandala-like trails their tails left in the sand!
Lizbot (host) 7:28:16 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill - I have seen it, but I didn't know the red tape trick!
Gautham Kalva 7:28:34 PM
Hey Lizbot, can u please type here for me the movies you mentioned earlier. One of then was from pig iron philadelphia shows?
Lee Chandler 7:28:45 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill. How horse shoe crabs are made is now on my must see nature list.
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 7:31:53 PM
The tactile memory of picking a live one up by the angular tail is still quite vivid.
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:32:57 PM
@ Lizbot (host) White light flashes don't kill them, of course! But it can potentially temporarily blind them. Probably why they typically crawl up onto the beaches and have their swinger parties and moresomes (LOL) at night, not during the day. So the red gel addition over camera flashes and flashlights is a prudent idea. You'll still get good pics, I did.
Lizbot (host) 7:33:30 PM
Hi Gautham Kalva! Not a movie, but a play called James Joyce Is Dead and So Is Paris: The Lucia Joyce Show - from the early 2000s about James Joyce's little known daughter Lucia, who was institutionalized. It starred one of my old schoolmates, brad Trojan of the defunct Philly band The Traffic Jam
Lizbot (host) 7:33:49 PM
@Roffle - Yikes! Sharp barbs!
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:36:31 PM
@ Lee Chandler Awesome, say hi to the horseshoes for me! At Cape May, they typically come up in the greatest numbers on the western, Delaware River Bay sie of the Cape. Google away, there's lots of info on when & where & how. Be prepared to be thrilled, going back 300 million years in time!
Lizbot (host) 7:39:10 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill - Nice! I was just in Cape May over Labor Day Weekend this past summer, and the previous one. The most exciting thing I ever found on the beach in Cape May was a dead wash-up sea turtle when I was about 9. I was so excited, I went to a nearby restaurant to use their phone to inform a marine biology research center near there, then waited with the turtle until someone from the center showed, at which point I had managed to get the worst sun poisoning of my life!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 7:41:19 PM

Richard from Rocky Hill 7:42:21 PM
@ Lizbot (host) Good on you, Lizbot, for having such an animal preservation and science study mind- (and heart-) set at age 9. You may have prevented more sea turtle deaths. Sorry about the sun poisoning though, yikes!
Lee Chandler 7:43:01 PM
I’m not a summer beach fan, despite being born/raised less than five miles outside AC/Ventnor/Margate. However, always loved the beach in fall/winter. Didn’t see a live horse-shoe crab til I was in my late teens.
Ossy 7:43:06 PM
Ah this song, which have many to think of rnb singer Maxwell did it first, being more known :)
Lizbot (host) 7:43:35 PM
@Roffle - I definitely aspired to be!
Lizbot (host) 7:44:49 PM
@Richard from Rocky Hill - Yeah, my mom plied me with popsicles while I laid on the sofa in pain! But I was still glad I found that turtle. Everything in the ocean had taken a bite out of it. I hope that helped other turtles in some way
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 7:46:52 PM
I had a close friend that counted and measured a lot of fish in Alaska as an Observer after graduation.
Lizbot (host) 7:47:19 PM
@Lee Chandler - I imagine when growing up down the shore, the summer crowds were maybe a bit wearying. I was always fascinated with the shore in the winter. Walked along the AC boardwalk on New Year's Eve one year, avoiding the casino crowds. There was an eerie fog rolling in and I got some cool photos of it!
Richard from Rocky Hill 7:47:48 PM
@ Lizbot (host) :-))
Lizbot (host) 7:47:50 PM
@Ossy - My old college roommate was in love with Maxwell!
Lizbot (host) 7:49:28 PM
@Roffle - I have a friend who worked on a ship fishing in Alaska for a couple of years. Paid well but incredibly lonely work.
TAndy: Monthly Doner 🥙 7:49:59 PM
Thanks so much for the show Lizbot, very poignant. Loved it ❤️
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 7:50:25 PM
I did that gig myself. lol
Lizbot (host) 7:50:27 PM
@Roffle / @Richard from Rocky Hill - My sister-in-law is a biologist who was based in Costa Rica for a few years, and we visited her in the Osa Peninsula in 2019 and went out with her early one morning to count turtles
Lizbot (host) 7:50:38 PM
@TAndy - Thanks for listening!
Lizbot (host) 7:50:59 PM
@Roffle - Oh wow! Seems intense but beautiful sights in Alaska!
Kathleen 7:51:39 PM
the playlist this evening has been exquisite, thank you for the good vibes tonight~
Lizbot (host) 7:52:04 PM
Hi Kathleen - thank you so much!
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 7:52:30 PM
It's amazing stuff 24/7 sometimes for sure.
Lizbot (host) 7:53:00 PM
@Lee Chandler - I have a friend who grew up in Sea Girt, NJ and he always talked about how people who grew up down the shore year-round have a unique perspective!
Lizbot (host) 7:53:12 PM
Thanks Roffle!
Ossy 7:53:13 PM
Liz - Interestingly was listening to Maxwell's lifetime song earlier and sweet relaxing show
Roffle bɛnɪfæktə 7:54:48 PM

A year or so ago, I learned eggs can often be salvaged from dead turtles (my sil volunteers w/the Terrapin project).
Lizbot (host) 7:55:42 PM
@Roffle - Thanks, will do!
