@Stephen Bluhm - I love Argento and Suspiria and Profondo Rosso are tied for my favorites of his. The saturated colors and geometry in Suspiria are incredible. Saw an original print of it at the I-House years ago with star Jessica Harper as guest! She signed by Suspiria poster!

Brian 'D' for Donor 5:59:33 PM
We wore all black and stuck a "GROSS" of glow-in-the-dark random sized googly eyes all over ourselves. Easy costume this year. I lie though... we did not even nearly get through the gross. The tedium of sticking them all on was like... let's just go inside now...
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:00:59 PM
... but the party was outside so that made it even MORE difficult
Lizbot (host) 6:05:32 PM
@Brian D - Glow-in-the-dark tape is easier, or reflective tape is even better! The Pennsauken Mart (RIP) used to sell reflective letters with sticky backs that a fresh shiny teen killbot bought for various shenanigans and machinations
Brian 'D' for Donor 6:10:50 PM
Ya want to do that sometime. Steal an idea I saw 10-20 yrs ago. All black clothing. Then glow sticks (or glow tape) lines on front and back of clothing in the shape of the classic "stick figure drawing". A win. Especially if bonfires and outdoor lighting are not too strong.

Joe Moore 6:43:13 PM
A friend bought me Carnival of the Souls years ago and I had never put it on until just a week or so back and my first thought after finishing was "I gotta find this soundtrack!" Its so weird! Great show Killbot! We're digging it.
Krista KristaKrista 6:44:59 PM
Placido Flamingo was entirely my son's idea. I thought I was getting an easy costume because I asked him to choose sesame Street since his sister is going as Elmo. Reaching into the sharps bucket reminds me of a hypothetical weird/bad board game that I thought of, similar to pretty pretty princess where you reach into a bag but instead of gems it's poison ivy, nails, wasps, needles. It's called Stingy Thingy.
Lizbot (host) 6:46:50 PM
Greetings, Joe Moore! Glad you're digging it! I first saw it on PBS as a kid and it really creeped me, especially the spooky dance near the end! (refraining from spoilers) Tryna to get the young Killbot clone to watch it soon! As someone who grew up being sent to catholic mass (nothing spookier than gothic churches!), I always wanted to go crazy on the organ there, so I LOVE the concept of evil taking over the organ!

Carlos Ramone. 6:55:50 PM
Many years ago my son wanted us to go out for trick or treat together
Lizbot (host) 6:56:22 PM
@Krista KristaKrista /Brian D- Stingy Thingy and sharps buckets reminds me of the old 70s SNL sketch where Dan Aykroyd as sleazy salesman comes on Weekend Update to pitch Big Bag O' Glass, a new toy for kids!
Carlos Ramone. 6:56:43 PM
He wanted a lab coat and stethoscope and I would go out in my boxers and red nose as Cavity Sam from operation
Lizbot (host) 6:59:05 PM
@Carlos Ramone - Oh man, that's a great idea and I never saw or heard of it before! Instant anxious memories of buzzers and missing parts from my Operation game, but I loved it, unlike that PURE EVIL game "Perfection" where the game pieces pop out if you don't fit them in their spots in time. I think that game gave me lifelong anxiety!
Ossy 6:59:39 PM

Lizbot (host) 7:13:47 PM
@DJ Readie - It IS indeed! How did you know that's where the Killbot go at end of show?
DJ Readie 7:14:00 PM
rustling leaves and crows cawing.. what's in the bushes there....?????
DJ Readie 7:14:24 PM
I am looking for the KILLBOT
Lizbot (host) 7:14:57 PM
@DJ Readie - A deep telepathy shared by sisters in radio pledge drives is I supposed the explanation
DJ Readie 7:15:05 PM
the hound of hell is chasing the deer from the path
Brian McCormack 7:15:19 PM
Knew this was Monk. I've seen a performance of her's years ago. With a Turtle destroying a model city like Godzilla and of course singing.
DJ Readie 7:15:31 PM
It's the ONLY explanation!
Roffle 7:15:36 PM
Just don't go look in the corn...
Lizbot (host) 7:15:48 PM
Grim Greetings, Roffle!
DJ Readie 7:16:39 PM
shenanigans afoot, as my bluetooth refuses to engage when bidden.....
Lizbot (host) 7:16:49 PM
@DJ Readie Frighteous is yr new name, as decreed by thy Bot
Roffle 7:16:56 PM
Hi Liz! I can hear the abyss from hear!
Lizbot (host) 7:17:25 PM
@Roffle - IF we heed the warnings foretold in The Wicker Man, don't go looking in the corn OR the barley
DJ Readie 7:17:44 PM
As per annual custom, dear Killbot- I hereby proudly don the mantle
Roffle 7:17:45 PM
The will of the Bot!
Brian 'D' for Donor 7:18:13 PM
...twas nothing more than an skellington...
Lizbot (host) 7:18:55 PM
@Brian McCormack - Nice! Speaking of turtles, i love her album Turtle Dreams and I imagine she sits at the top of a mountain of turtles with turtles going all the way down in infinity turtles, and somewhere in that stack is Gamera, just flame-breathing and living his life
Lizbot (host) 7:19:27 PM
@DJ Readie - Tell that hell hound to stop chasing the deer into I-95! Killbot tires of seeing them rot on the side of the road
Lizbot (host) 7:19:51 PM
@DJ Readie - Time to record an All-WPRB-DJ sound effect record!
DonorSupportingMonthly 7:20:27 PM
The bat attack scene in Suspiria is my fave
Lizbot (host) 7:21:08 PM
@Brian D - As Tom Scharpling recently pointed out, if Danny Elfman claims he IS Jack Skellington, as he does, and Danny Elfman is a ripped chonk of muscles, which he is, then it stands to followed that his proper name is Jacked Skellington
DJ Readie 7:21:30 PM
the deer are so frightened, they scatter to the farhighways and byways- and its cousin the buzzard makes a hearty meal anon
Carlos Ramone. 7:22:54 PM
Dead deer and carry on luggage are always an easy joke when traveling
Brian 'D' for Donor 7:22:55 PM
somethings not quite rite
Lizbot (host) 7:23:09 PM
@DSM - My fave is the razor wire room, the possessed hound in the piazza with the flying statue subtly in the background, and of course Mother Markos breathing just behind the sheet!
Lizbot (host) 7:23:42 PM
@DSM - And of course the brief moment we get to see Udo Kier!
DJ Readie 7:23:54 PM
DJ Readie Frighteous has her peepers trained on a desirable abode: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/198-Locktown-Flemington-Rd-Flemington-NJ-08822/201755328_zpid/

@ Liz..thanks for the tunes..on Tuesday I will be sitting at end of driveway..candy for the young ones offering cans of ale to parents and telling the speaker to play “ Creep in the Cellar” by the Butthole Surfers for the next 1.5 hours
DonorSupportingMonthly 7:51:36 PM
Already looking forward to Killbot's return. Thanks for the thrills, the chills, the KILLS!!
Lizbot (host) 7:52:22 PM
@DJ Readie - "Quiet Neighbors, Dead Neighbors" is Killbot's book of neighborly etiquette! Funny you should mention it! It was on the NYTimes Best Cellars List
Lizbot (host) 7:52:46 PM
@DSM - Thanks for lurking on these ethereal airwaves with me!
Lizbot (host) 7:53:40 PM
@Carlos Ramone - Oooh, 1.5 hours of Butthole Surfers is a spooky driveway indeed! I'm sure the parents will appreciate that ale!
Marcus Watt 7:53:48 PM
I suspect I'm the only listener who owns Attahk and Udu Wudu. Thanks.
Number 6 7:54:33 PM
I have both those Magma albums.
DJ Readie 7:54:50 PM
@Lizbot HAHAHA!! Also on the New Yawk Crimes (NYC) List!!
Lizbot (host) 7:54:53 PM
this song is very grunt-filled
Rob from Maryland 7:55:50 PM
This Magma piece (if only because of the vocals) (and not having the volume too loud) is giving me some Roxy Music vibes
Lizbot (host) 7:55:58 PM
@Number 6 - I have seen them in a few settings, but the best was a bar in Greenpoint about 15 years ago! Sat right in front of Christian Vanders' drumset! SO good!
Marcus Watt 7:55:59 PM
Number 6, I stand corrected.
TAndy: Monthly Doner 🥙 7:57:07 PM
