He is really sui generis
Ambrose Hughes 7:28:38 PM
@Readie, think I heard this once or twice in '86 and never since till now!😲

I really wanted the Napoleon solo thrustbuster rifle back in the day, but it wasn't carried by two guys or any of the discounters, it was list price at Kiddie City. So I never got that but I got the generic Secret Sam attached case with the gun instead

The man from Uncle and Batman, both 1966, really showed the commercial potential of TV. They became phenomenal money making IPs, and after that TV wouldn't be the same. Commercialization and profit making would become Paramount, leading to things like Masters of the universe and all the Saturday morning cartoons of the time

Liverpool was sometimes referred to as the 33'rd County, (Ireland has 32) as so many Irish went there after WW2.
Readie Righteous (host) 7:50:10 PM
@Bo- cool fact! That explains a lot about the Beatles in their youth...
Ambrose Hughes 7:51:31 PM
@Readie, yep, they all had Irish blood in their veins.
sean burns 7:51:42 PM
Cool info Ambrose. Wonder if that was part of the reason that Liverpool was looked down on as low class
Ambrose Hughes 7:52:25 PM
@Sean, I wouldn't doubt it!
sean burns 7:55:16 PM
If I recall correctly both Lennon and McCartney expressed very Irish sentiments. Of course there's the song give Ireland back to the Irish the kind of supports that idea
