@ Dan Ruccia (host) Thanks for that new version of "I Cover the Waterfront." Interesting song history: The best-selling 1932 book by newspaper man Max Weber (subtitled "Stories from the San Diego Shore") independently inspired, in 1933, the song by Johnny Green & Edward Heyman and a film noir crime drama starring Claudette Cobert & Ben Lyon. The song quickly became such a hit (and later a jazz vocal standard) that during post-production the movie's soundtrack was reworked to include it.
