Friend/ bandmate helped me out with locked keys in car. We drove back to his joint in Lambtvl area to grab a long thin steel rod (machine shop on same site where he lived) . 6-7 ft maybe 1/4 thick. Got it in passenger window on angle, no breakage, perfect line to click the lock open on driver door. Let me keep that. Never had to use again

that's amazing, Brian. My celebrity assistance story is that Bon Iver is from the same area of Wisconsin as me (Brackett, the name of one of his songs, is where most of my family lives) and he was friends of a friend. He gave me a ride to the library in high school.

Got to see Justin/ Bon Iver open up for Black Mountain about 15 years ago. Right before his big 1st lp. Had a good small band. No idea who he was and really loved his set. Black Mountain was great that night. Johnny Brenda's. Probably 1st time i went there. Bands were Jagjaguwar records label mates.

Black Mtn! I saw Primus recently and wished BM was the opener, instead of who it was.

I thought they didn't tour this year... i heard he is or did tour w Frog Brigade this year

Black Mtn opened for Primus on some dates last summer, but I missed them where I was seeing Primus (upstate NY).

Ah the Rush thing ya. Tailgated a few songs near end o show in Asbury on the boardwalk last summer. Sounded good. Southbound Pachyderm echoing off the waves...

The Rush stuff was great. The politicizing Les did-- not so great. I've seen Primus countless times, as they opened for EVERYONE in CA in 1980s. They always sound good. And are funny.
