Colin, I used to record Bob Conrad's show on WTSR on that boombox from ***inside my moving car*** Had to drive south in order to pick up TSR.

Good ol Radiothon WTSR concerts at "The Rat (keller)". Saw Ween do one of the first few full band shows there 1994. Satan and Adam also about that time (check out the docu on them so good that story...)

Radiothon looms large in my memory. There's a story (which I've never been able to verify) that the Pagans (Cleveland punk band) played it in the mid-late 80s.

Saw Sonic Tooth only once at The Tower Theater in Philly. Strange place for a SY show. Mark Ibold from Pavement was in Sonic Youth final years. Took over the bass when Kim moved to guitar in that 3 gtr assault lineup

Hi all ye Freeformin' Pathogens! So funny -- I'm so used to hearing Hildegard Knef singing in heavily accented English that I almost didn't recognize her very recognizable vocal style! I think I've mentioned at least umpteen times that the first 'adult book' I ever read was her memoir 'The Gift Horse', when I was almost 11 years old, on a train trip from France to Holland (maybe?).

Wow, didn't know she had a book, Teresa. I must investigate!

She covers her childhood during Hitler's rise to power, her experience of the war, and thereafter, her slow progression of becoming the singer and actress we've come to know.
