From Inside the House - Single Bruit Direct Disques 2023
From Dusted review: "Equipment Pointed Ankh is a gang of Louisville, KY improvisers who prove, once again, that the people who commit to oddity in the heartland really commit. These tracks bounce and jitter like they want to dance, but then tip sideways into lush string synth lyricism, inscrutable spoken word, and, in one cases, the sound of soda sucked through a straw."

Kim Rosner Joralemon 12:05:43 PM
I am reviewing test data for language notifications when boarding loans. Boring stuff.
Kim Rosner Joralemon 12:06:34 PM
But I have to create automation test scripts for it for my goals, and I suck at automation.
Kim Rosner Joralemon 12:07:04 PM
So it's hateful work right now.
Kim Rosner Joralemon 12:07:35 PM
Glad you had fun on the coast! sounds wonderful.

Esoterica (host) 12:12:09 PM
the Jersey shore (like actually staying there with family) is such a tradition for people from NJ and PA, more so than SoCal I'd say

Esoterica (host) 1:30:20 PM

DSM 1:30:55 PM
I recommend the Dungen with the two people dancing on the cover in front of a barn. Not sure what it's called tho sorry haha
Bud Burroughs 1:31:31 PM
Ha, I thought I was hearing Les Claypool's voice until the typical Residents backup vocals chimed in on that last tune!
Esoterica (host) 1:31:49 PM

Kim Rosner Joralemon 1:33:11 PM
Have you ever played Mike Oldfield from back in the 70s? He made Tubular Bells for The Exorcist but his other music is very interesting. My brother Jimmy turned me on to it when I was a kid.
Kim Rosner Joralemon 1:33:53 PM
This music reminds me of it.
Esoterica (host) 1:33:53 PM

Sur Tizzle 1:44:04 PM

Brian McCormack 2:14:21 PM
I got to witness that guy from the Residents lighting years ago at The French Academy in NYC. It was their History of Rock show. Giant Elvis Frankenstein unwinds a girl who's wrapped in day glow tape during their version of "Teddy Bear". Truly unique theatrical experience. I turned around in my seat to find Laurie Anderson and Lou Reed sitting in the row behind us.
Sur Tizzle 2:15:01 PM
Very cool Brian!
Esoterica (host) 2:15:50 PM
hey brian, wow, so cool
Brian McCormack 2:16:30 PM
The Residents remind me of the Bread and Puppet Theater.
