Donald Byrd lp is from 1969. For other Donald Byrd from this period check out his lp "Electric Byrd". Fits right in with the Miles Bitches Brew, Herbie H vein etc

The Herbie lp cover has his head replaced with a recording studio VU meter image. Funny lil super imposition in the pre photoshop era

Reading more... the artist combined a recording studio device with an African traditional face mask design. Modern meets old...

Live at the Regal good one too. And another King, Albert King "Wednesday Night in San Francisco " as well as "Thursday Night... ". Both of those are essential live blues lps. Live in general.

I will certainly be checking those out
