Oh, one more, thanks to S O’C, Spanic Boys got their huge break due to her bowing out with Andy Dice Clay. I saw them in Chicago the weekend after they appeared at Fitzgerald’s, sold out. I’d never heard of them before SNL.

SNL doesn't make it easy to find these performances online. The Kinks Do It Again was on fire, but I can never find it.

Leon Redbone (lived right down the road in Bucks County for long while - RIP) and his great shiny red suit on SNL. Stones. Then few years later Tim Curry impersonation of Jagger heh... must have been promoting "Clue"

Just read another one i have to seek out... SNL 1979: Pheobe Snow, Linda Ronstadt and Robert Fripp on Frippertronics gtr+tape loops doing Shoop Shoop Song and another tune... only on SNL heh. I can remember seeing those 2 singers on stage and probably saw that ep when it aired. But had no idea who Fripp was & don't remember that...

Belushi was crazy fan of FEAR, their 2 tunes.

I remember Bill M enthusiastically intro-ing the Spinners.

Fripp helped immeasurably on two Roches best LP’s. Shame hallelujah choir spoils Keep On Doing IMHO. Should have only been on their Xmas album.

So many great Trocadero shows... i remember a fan climbing up the side wall & walking around outer edge of the balcony overhang with 2 hands on/ back to the band. Pogues (the Spider vocals non Shane era still great even w/o him). The bass player (RIP Darryl Hunt) kept looking up at the guy half laughing half concerned...
