The Criterion Channel has almost all of Varda's films, including television series and interviews. Her films are so different from one another and all so great! I would start with her first film -- her contribution to the Nouvelle Vague -- 'Cleo from 5 to 7'. The Criterion Channel's collections are almost always organized chronologically and I think that's a good approach. Getting the Criterion Channel has been the best $100 we've ever invested in streaming media ... seriously!

Hey Harry (host) before you played uranium song did you by mistake play another track which starting by lyrics saying “ born on sunday beautiful ” or was it just the beginning

there were about 5 seconds of track 5 off of this same record

My favorite from that collection? Hmm ... probably a toss up between "The Sect of the Idiot" & "Dr. Voke & Mr. Veech". If I had to pick I'd say "Dr. Voke & Mr. Veech" I guess.

i think my current fav is "the frolic", that note that john doe leaves is so cool

I enjoyed "The Frolic". I wish I had the $$$. I'd try & find someone online to make a reproduction of that blue sculpture John Doe makes & the wife buys & brings home.

Tom Waits’ respectful cover of Red Sovine’s Big Joe and Phantom 309. Red Sovine made a career of truck driving country songs and stories. Ironically he died after an auto accident in 1980.
