The veteran musician, Rama Ravi, studied
at Kalakshetra under giants of Carnatic
Music. In addition she learnt padams and
javalis from T Brinda
Gauri Pathare Piya Sang Khelu Holi in raga Basant
Trained under many gurus. Initially under
Gangadharbuwa Pimpalkhare (Kirana). Later
under Jitendra Abhisheki and Padmatai Talwalkar.

A stellar artist of his time, died young.
Known for his brigas, he was a musician,
composer and the teacher of many students
who themselves became famous during

A performer for more than five decades,
he hails from a family of musicians. Learnt
music from his mother, Rajamma Shastri
and also from Nagaratna Bai and Vallabham

Initially learnt from his mother Gauri Bhattacharya.
Later studied under A Kannan and Malavika Kannan
M S Gopalakrishnan with Narmadha (Violin) Seve Srikantam in raga Mohanakalyani Swathi Thirunal

He learnt from his father,Parur Sundaram Iyer, both
both Carnatic and Hindustani genres. The violin
trinity comprised of Lalgudi Jayaraman, T N Krishnan
and M S Gopalakrshnan
Anupam Mahajan (Sitar) Raga Yaman
Hailing from Amritsar in Punjabk, she
learnt music at Delhi University and
in due course became the head of the
music department at Delhi Univrsity.
Has many books and research papers
to her credit. Also invented the 17 fret
sitar of the Jaipur Senia gharaana
Amrutha Venkatesh Pahimam Brihannayike - A Swarajati in raga Huseni Swathi Thirunal
At age four, she started training under
M T Selvanarayanan. Later, she also
studied under Charumathi Ramahandran.
Currently she is a studnent Prince Rama
Purnima Sen Raga Shudh Kalyan
Belongs to the Agra-Atrauli
gharana. Trained under
Vilayat Hussein Khan. Later
under Ata Hussein Khan and
Sharafat Hussein Khan
Ramakrishnan Murthy Dhyaname Varamaina i raga Dhanyasi Thyagaraja
A senior among the young musicians, initially learnt
Padma Kutty of Irvine, CA. Later under Delhi Sunder
Rajan, Vairamangalam Lakshminarayanan and
Chengalpet Ranganathan. Currently he is learning from
R K Shriramkumar
B N Suresh (Flute) A Thillana in raga Dhanashri Swathi Thirunal
B N Suresh [1946 - 1990]
Considered a child prodigy, he
learnt under T R Mahalingam.
Died at the age of 44.
