Great Gord comp is the United Artists Collection. A lot of the early early stripped down recordings without a bunch of 70s over production.

"Gord's Gold" is a greatest hits. Not the original lp recordings tho. He re recorded his songs with the then current band(s) for the Gord's Gold collections.

Often layered multiple rhythm guitar tracks. Including his own 12 string acoustic, Terry Clements as well. And often an acoustic guitar in "Nashville tuning" or "High strung". Basically a former 12 strung guitar with the low octave strings removed on the bass strings. Makes a sound kind of like a cross betw autoharp and mandolin . Common in 70s recording. Stacks of acoustic tracks. Wall of strums

@ Brian "D" for Donor Thanks for that tutorial on repurposed 12 string guitar in recordings. I've often wondered the method for getting that distinctive and engaging between-guitar-and-mandolin sound.
