Not even going to lie this is so high up there on my favorites list that the album gave me the feels when I listen to it for the first time.

It's this, To See The Next Part Of The Dream by Parannoul, and Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky by Mono that I keep coming back to and feeling the same emotions each time. Parannoul is Korean Shoegaze, and Mono is Japanese Post Rock

Not to say that there aren't other albums that I feel the same about but it's these three that always come to mind for me first

6.12 by Mono off that album was my introductory track btw, Grady played it a couple of weeks ago. Starts off slow then explodes in an epic distorted noise, it's beyond words imo

once my dad's car battery died so we called insurance and they were like we can't come bc we can't find your location. and we were like ??? just put this tennis court rec center's name in google maps?? and they were like no it's not in our system.

yeah, AAA can get pissy like that too. I overheated on the Jersey TPKE and because I didn't know the cross street they wouldn't come out. I was like, um divided highway bro?

The turnpike SUUUCKS. The only time I needed help there I was able to call a rest stop service center and they sent someone out

Been since November and I'm still waiting for payment from the turnpike regarding the money they owe me for my tires

I don't want to relieve the horror of a dead battery and failed alternator, when me and my friends came back from a movie Star Wars The Force Awakens in 2015. Another time my car died at a gas station, and some asshole left me stranded after he helped charging my dead battery and left me. Luckily the gas station was close to home and my friend got his uncle to save me.

Oh no I had dashcam proof of their negligence and 10 other cars who experienced damage from the same hole. Dashcam and historical proof via Google maps.

I respect your choice of daily driver, Ross. I used to drive a 2012 Scion tC but had over 150k, 100 mile commutes for 3 years wore the entire suspension out and it was burning oil. Sold it and got a brand new Mazda 3 Turbo. Much fancier but not overly complicated mechanically like other new cars. Fanciest thing in it is the variable compression turbo and the torque vectoring AWD, but that's more software based.

Really do miss revving that Toyota engine up high though

Variable compression turbo in interesting. Maybe variable boost. Compression is a static thing based on mechanical construct, I doubt it's adjustable. Picking nits however, new car tech is phenomenal. I just like old school.

Yeah I may have used the wrong terminology, I'm still sipping my wake up coffee LOL

Basically they set it up so it's integrated in the exhaust manifold. At low RPMs, the main "shutter" to the turbo closes and only the smaller hole with less airflow goes to keep it spooled, for less turbo lag and to minimize heat soak from oil not circulating. Otherwise at higher RPMs and faster driving, it behaves like a regular turbo.

They've been using that system since around 2017 when they put it in one of their SUVs and no major issues have come up, so at the moment it's regarded as a sufficiently reliable system.

Ahh yes the price... It was quite a bit for a compact sedan, but it's pretty much the "touring" model. A Civic I wanted had the same MSRP, but Honda is horrible with markup now. I keep telling my mom if she let me get the Grand Marquis I saw for sale when I was 20, I'd still be driving it.
