Jon Solomon (pictured here about to hide the afikomen) is at a seder so here I am! Drinking extra fizzy kosher seltzer and thinking about ways I can fight oppression and slavery wherever they may occur.

This isn't an entirely passover themed show (I did that year before last!) but there will be some acknowledgement of the holiday. Chag Pesach sameach!

I just re-opened the streamguys thing (https://player.streamguys.com/wprb/sgplayer/player.php) in a different tab and its doing fine. I must have done something exceptional

so I'm now listening on iTunes/Apple Music instead of the streamguys things.

ps re streaming I figured out how to stream WPRB through the Poweramp app (and IF there were indeed other radio stations you could stream them as well). It involved bridges, trolls (not the mean kind), trinkets, baubles, tricks, recitations, etc. And.... the song tile/artist pops up on the player! And and.. you can embed "album art" by clicking said button and Poweramp searches for fine related artwork out there on the web including some familiar stickers, swag art from fundie drives.

Or ... embed your own from your "Gallery" etc...

Currently rocking the lyre/harp frog (the 300 turkeys are in the background... or obscured by that pac man pie wedge at lower left....

It sure beats using "FM Tuner" apps and their ads, stations I will never use etc. Plus better eq possibilities. Gonna get some use on road trips. Easier to go from playing music on phone to listening to out of town/staticky radio stations on phone. Many small victories.

yeah i used to use tunein but then it started putting ads in the middle of the streams and i started using the wprb web thingie instead

That is good t'go too. My quest was more of a "gotta find out how to put the actual stream URL on Poweramp. That way I can just use that app, no browsers.

But at home, yeah the good ol fm radio is fired up.

I live in Montgomery co in Pa. A few years ago the only person running for coroner was on both parties. I voted for myself on the reasoning of having watched Quincy

Brian D - Hows the POwer amp app? I use iheart radio (free) to stream PRB. Works well.

My other fave fake band on tv drama is "Wotan". John Doe plays a washed up goth hard rocker in said band on a Law & Order episode. He was sole remaining member & they're trying to get back in the game but... they try to use too much pyro (ala the Great White tragedy echoing the real life event).... it's worth a watch

Francis: I grabbed Poweramp as a music player back when I finally got a smart phone in 2015. To play actual files stored on my phone (not streaming). I never streamed on the phone to listen to music, just tunes I had on the phone's drive. But.. I knew they added streaming capability on the app... I just could never figure out how to add the correct streaming URL for a particular station until I recently upgraded phones.

I was using the "My Tuner" app for FM radio streaming. It was ok. Good bass actually in the free version. Paid version offered an eq they say. But it was clunky. Sometimes ads popped up, not audio wise thankfully.

By "never streaming" I meant not the usual spot ifs, pandas, bite out of fruit mega company streaming that is. Streaming radio is great for long drives, being out of town etc.

When driving in upper bucks co. I start getting some bleed into a real crap station out of reading…time to stream

Yep... I live between Doylestown & Quakertown. When the earth spins to a certain angle just a few times a year... that other 103 station creeps in... just a blip when I turn out of the driveway... and other areas further north. I seem to remember WPRB being stronger back 20-30 years ago... but maybe there are just more other station gremlins out there now...

and a Pethie fill-in while you are on the plane. YAY!

Not sure if it was Reading or Lehigh... but no fun. Sometimes I switch to streaming in the house when that static week comes around each year. Not too bad. Mostly WPRB comes through

I think the Poweramp app people were def influenced by Winamp. In a good way. Not a direct lift of look and features but the quest for quality, many features, user pleasing stuff... etc
