This afternoon, before the sun came out, I watched Eric Rohmer's Autumn Tale at 2x. Damn glad I did.

CJ - I haven't seen live Jojo, but heard live Rurouni Kwnshin and Fist of The North Star are pretty good

Yeah that's fair, some films have some awful pacing

Doing the 2x with subtitles is kind of like the Evelyn Wood School of Speed Watching

The point of GOOD anime is to show off good animation and what can be done with the minimal technique and maximizing movement during key moments. Translating anime to live action is basically someone saying "Oh yeah that animation is good but I CAN DO BETTER" and then sucking at it.

Not a fan of good, successful animation trying to go to live action. Nosir. Don't like it one bit.

The same almost always applies to live action taken to animation too. Only very very rarely has that ever worked out
