Mok, recording or converting vinyl/tapes? I've used various interfaces in the 200-300 range for recording at home like PreSonus or Focusrite and they work just fine. You could use one of those as well to convert analog sources if that's what you

are after, but there might be a cheaper option for just that

Are you able to just use Audacity and record via line-in or loopback like I do? Of course that means you would have to turn off all windows sounds and sacrifice an entire computer just for recording, same as I do.

I do believe that Mike Hunter has an automated process to record stuff on his Linux machine as he mentioned in his chat.

The majority of my music listening is digital files. I wanted to get better sound out of them especially the flac24

Friar Tuck's was decent, but Encore books always had great clearance gems to find if you were a rooter. Which I am.

I believe that if you're recording to FLAC in that way you're already getting the best fidelity, especially if you transfer the file to a high res digital audio player like one of those expensive Sony ones or Fiio. Good morning Lee!
