Don't remember it but I had the single of the Kinks then new song Lola when I was about 1-2 years old. Good sing along. Ray Davies & swingin London so ahead of the world.

I can't remember if I heard the Weird Al version of it first, but I've always loved that song

Lovecraft's horror-fantasy fiction, I wondered if Rudimentary Peni's "The Horrors in the Museum" was inspired by the short story "The Horror in the Museum" which he helped aspiring author Hazel Heald pen in 1932. But I couldn't understand the guitar-buried vocals. So I did a web search on the lyrics, and ...

... sure enough there are Lovecraft references a-plenty. But I must riff on the opneing lines "A muse musing in a museum/What's the use of looking if you don't see 'em?" and ask "What's the use of lyrics if no onee can hear them?" ;-))
