Buy them guitars! I gave my kid five guitars when I left Washington State. Bad dad, but his mom was more than I could do. I also bought him a sweet Ibanez. He is real smart though. More of an investment in him than the guitar. :)

I bought this Fender acoustic bass that sadly I had to return because of a delamination issue, but that is a cool thing to have. I highly recomend it for anyone who plays.
