ok so! I have a bone to pick with spicy miso

I'm noticing a trend in restaurants always having spicy miso but never spicy tonkatsu

but i think (and pls agree or disagree) that if you want a spicy bowl of ramen, the tonkatsu broth is and always will be a better vehicle!

I'm not saying spicy miso isn't delicious

I agree, I had regular tonkatsu last time and it was a lot richer. I guess it may be better for some to have delicious regular tonkatsu rather than having an okay regular and spicy

100% agree. I have the same qualms

I'm just saying that the miso monopoly on spice needs to be stopped!

Me I'm a simple man with homemade soup in which I'll just dump a bunch of cayenne powder in my soup and call it a day

that's another way to do it for sure

i bring a bag of cayenne powder to all the ramne shops i go to just in case... xDxD

FYI. Roti Plus in Trenton sells hot sauce made by a former coworker of mine, Mark's Mad hot sauce. Very spicy and flavorful, Trini style.

Speaking of spicy soup, really loving the Lanzhou beef noodle bowls at Lan Ramen lately, what ever that spice is in there is nice and unique and addicting!
